We have 3 Apple computers, two iPhones, one iPad and one Windows 7 PC in the house.
Norton 360 Multi-device is really quite good on my Windows 7 laptop. It’s exactly the sort of program you want running when downloading email, surfing the Web, and running updates. It’s not a memory hog, but not exactly lite either (if you have only 4GB of RAM in your system, consider yourself warned). But, for my Windows PC, I have no complaints.

I’ve had a Windows partition on my MacBook since I bought it (2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 gigs of RAM) but switching over to using Windows is always a pain since I just used Boot Camp to put Windows on the machine.
My main worry was that VMware Fusion 2 wouldn’t recognize my previously installed version of Windows and I’d have to reinstall. But it saw it and used it with little trouble at all.

Download and setup of this suite was uneventful - download and installation took about 20 minutes. I wasn’t even asked to restart my computer when it was done. After installation, all the apps booted correctly and I was able to easily locate all my Office files in OneDrive.nMost of the work I do with MS Office is done on my laptop PC - my primary reason for having Office on my Mac too is for the simple convenience of being able to access and work on my files if I’m at my home office where my desktop computer is a Mac.

So far so good - this is a comprehensive and powerful application for big business accounting - in addition to budget and payroll, there are excellent tools for tracking growth and profit. I’m a small business owner, an artist, and I find it fantastic for tracking inventory and sales, but there are tools that will make it easy when I begin to expand my business too. I’m just starting to scratch the surface as to what it can and can’t do - so far, I can say that the software is user friendly, although there is a steep learning curve if you aren’t an accountant!

Not much you can say about this hub - it does what its supposed to! I have a lot of FireWire devices, most of which have two ports - but its nice central location to plug them into instead of daisychaining! I don’t have to keep the devices next to each other anymore!

This is a feature rich update of the Office:Mac program. The user interface is elegant, and very Mac-friendly.nInitially I had some difficulties with the program - first, it would take a very long time (upwards of 20 minutes!) to launch, and the program had real problems with Font menus. A few simple tweaks to Word, and to my font management software solved these issues. Now all my Office:Mac 2008 applications open swiftly and work smoothly.

The tech specs say that this program is easy to install, but I found the process to be long and more involving than that. Even so, once installed it has been easy to use and offers comprehensive protection, without significantly impacting processor performance. And I love the addition of the Mac filters - a definite plus, pushing this program over some of the competitors.

This product arrived a few days ago - I was excited to try it out. I’m always looking for additional storage and backup options.nI logged in to my Norton account, registered my serial number, was sent to a download link for my (Mac) software. The link didn’t work. I tried it again several times with no success.ni tried to contact Norton Support for assistance, but gave up after waiting nearly an hour with no response to my chat request (although the support site promises short waits.

Its not as full featured as Microsoft Office, but WordPerfect Office X5 offers a less expensive and efficient alternative. It includes products for word processing, accounting and presentation prep, and even has a workspace designed to mimic MS Office products. Excellent product for homeowners and students, I wouldn’t recommend it as a primary suite for businesses.
