I’ve had a Windows partition on my MacBook since I bought it (2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 gigs of RAM) but switching over to using Windows is always a pain since I just used Boot Camp to put Windows on the machine.
My main worry was that VMware Fusion 2 wouldn’t recognize my previously installed version of Windows and I’d have to reinstall. But it saw it and used it with little trouble at all. Now, running Windows is as it should be: a simple window within my Mac OS working environment.
I haven’t used any serious memory hogs on Windows within the Fusion environment, but the Microsoft Office suite runs very well as do the few games I’ve tried to run on it.
Solid. Zero complaints… and for a Windows-related app, that’s saying something.
