So far I have had good success with Kaspersky Pure. Unlike other AV products, if there is a major mid-term release or upgrade Kaspersky upgrades for free until the time of license expiry. I only wish if they could sell the ‘Key’ alone minus all the CD / Package etc and pass on the savings to customers.

OS has been stable since installation. Somewhat of a learning curve switching from Win 7 to Win 8. But one will quickly overcome that. PC boots faster. But it did break several things including the Intel WiDi I had on my Win 7 and using it to mirror my screen to a large HDTV. I miss this a lot since the upgrade. Strangely Intel nor MS have done anything about it to release the appropriate driver to support WiDi.

A very good product especially when you use it to scan papers and file them into your folders.

As a Mac user, I use iPhoto all the time for simple adjustments; however, sometimes I need something more powerful. Until I received PhotoDirector, I had to turn to Pixelmator, which is a pretty good program, just not as involved as PhotoDirector 6 Ultra. With PhotoDirector, I have a lot more options and tools at my disposal.
As with Photoshop Elements, a program I haven’t used in years, there’s a learning curve with PhotoDirector, although a lot can be learned by clicking around and experimenting.

Installation was easier on this than Roxio 10, and it did what it said it world. BUT SLOW. I had problems with it taking forever. Three times it caused my computer to crash. Since I don’t have time to waste these days its a problem. I think this is a situation of you pay for what you get. The low price tag is a clue it’s not going to wow you.

problems installations. Surprised me, really. But I use XP and I see some others has similar problems. I have been making book video trailers and this was recommended to me. It does have a virtual maze of options. Some didn’t function for me, and others I am still learning. It’s not 1, 2, 3, go…that’s for sure. The slide shows with music was nice, but them you can do that on Rockme.
