I have not had the time to explore Corel Painter 2016 as well as I would have liked but it is evident that it is a powerful program with virtually unlimited possibilities. Of course it helps if one is a talented artist but I believe that even those with less than stellar abilities could produce some pretty good art with this software once they have learned its many different capabilities.

Cyberlink PhotDirector 6 Ultra was easy to install on my Windows 7 Premium 64 bit system. When I started the program, at first glance I thought I had accidentally opened my Adobe Lightroom. The similarities are undeniable. Although I have not had a great deal of time to play with the software, it seems to be fairly easy to use and is possibly more user friendly than Lightroom. Quite a few presets are included and more can be downloaded plus the user can create and save his own presets.

I have been a user of PhotoImpact for many years. I began using it with version 3.0 and the latest version is 13.0. Within the past few years Corel has bought out both PhotoImpact and Paint Shop Pro. Apparently the company has decided to drop PhotoImpact and continue to support and develop Paint Shop Pro. I decided to bite the bullet and learn to use Paint Shop Pro since it is only a matter of time until my PhotoImpact software will no longer work with Windows.

I’ve used Turbotax for over 2o years. 2014 is the last year for me.
For the past 10 years I have owned a rental property in a foreign country and have prepared my taxes using Turbotax Deluxe. This year I had to upgrade to the Home and Business version at a substantially higher price. Strike One.
When I started to input my data on the rental property Turbotax software notified me that I had been claiming too much depreciation in past years and would have to file amended returns going back to 2010 as well as filing Form 3115 requesting IRS to allow me to change my depreciation method.

Does the job for complicated returns but it costs too much. I don’t plan to use it next year.

Having just switched from a PC to a MAC, I need a product to help me do my taxes. I’m a self-employed management consultant and used Quicken to keep track of my business expenses. After reading the reviews of Quicken for the MAC I decided to give iBank a trial. It is not as sophisticated as Quicken for the MAC but it is easier to use.
So far it is adequate for my purposes.

I have been using Turbotax for many years. However, that will end with tax year 2014. I just discovered that Turbotax Deluxe no longer supports Schedules C, D and E! Intuit wants us to move up to their more expensive products. Screw that. Time to check out the H&R Block.

Much better than Symantec or McAfee that I was using. Ability to customize settings, protection, back-up etc is good. Less memory consuming that other AV products.

Excellent review and very true. Gone are the mighty and high Kaspersky days. Pure user for few years now, but with recent upgrade to Win 8.1 it has been nothing but headaches and licensing issues - 3 months without protection until they released a patch in late Dec 13, and they will not even have a courtesy to extend the previous license which did not work for 3 months. They spam my email everyday to buy at some f’in exorbitant rate.

Good product that I wanted to use with Wacom tablet to exploit its potential. The tablet itself is so buggy I had to stop using it. So this one is now getting less attention.
