The install was easy, it comes with a disc and it’s fairly good price for the item, These serial ports were standard on PCs in days gone by. Nobody really carries this item any more. I was glad to find it here.

I am enjoying the Cyberlink PhotoDirector 5 so far. I have a Nikon D3000 and I exclusively shoot in RAW and I use a lot of post editing to clean up pictures so this is a big help for me. I’m still experimenting with the program and I will gradually ease into using this more in the future as soon as I get the kinks worked out. If you are a novice or a pro then you will want to give this a try because they will make your pics look very nice and you’ll have fun paying around with all of the editing features.

Autodesk Sketchbook Pro 2011 wasn’t compatible with my version of MAC. If I knew that from the start I wouldn’t have gotten it. I am getting a new computer soon and I will try again. But from the looks of it I’m sure it will be fun. I can’t wait to try it out again.

I’m a Photoshop professional, and have been using Pshop for over 20 years. I am also a digital artist, and have been looking for plugins or applications which will give me greater latitude and capabilities for my work. Corel Paintshop 12 fits that bill very nicely. It is laid out similarly to the layout of Photoshop, and complements it well. Yes, there is some duplication of capability, but there are also a lot of things that are either difficult to do in Photoshop and made easier here, or are simply not do-able in Photoshop.

I installed Norton Utilities 16.0 from the CD and the install went fine. Then, I ran the 1-click system optimization/health thing… it found some registry problems, as I expected and had it fix them. Unfortunately it also decided that some things I did not want deleted should be… all histories from all applications, etc. I like to use my ‘recent’ files selections in many apps. Well, they were all gone. Not just internet browsing history, that would be fine.

I’m a Photoshop professional- I use Photoshop daily and have for many years. Most of what you can do here you can do in Photoshop, of course, but it’s a lot harder to learn and the cost difference is phenomenal– $40 vs $6-700! So my review will have some bias. That said, CPSPX4U is a delight. I won’t run down the individual features as many others have done a great job describing them.

I have the cd version and it won’t install. I tried on two different pcs - and I get it going and then it hangs or crashes. So I am not able to provide a review on how well it works.
