I will keep it short and sweet and help you decide it. Before buying, go to Symantec’s website and get a 15-day trial. If it doesn’t crash your system or the anti-virus is still stable, chances are it will work for you. However, it didn’t work for me: I am trying to run a Live Update and it tells me that I have another Live Update running, even after restarting day after day after day.

The Good:nn*Doesn’t hog your resources.n*Easily identifies unsafe websites.n*Great for novice and expert users alike. The Bad:nn*A more extensive user manual would’ve been nice. The Bottom Line:nnA great program that easily identifies unsafe websites. You install it and forget it, as you will not hear a peep from this program, as if it wasn’t there. You can see the results just by going to Google. It uses a simple green, yellow and red system to identify the website.

No problems installing or using this year’s version on my windows 10 PC. No crashes etc.

I bought it right after the R4 patch came out. No crashes for me. My previous version was Quicken Deluxe 2011. Compared to that version, there are a few minor tweaks to make things easier, here and there. Nothing major. I only upgraded because of how they end support for downloading transactions, in older versions.

Several other apps which worked on Vista were not supported by the vendors on Win7. I had to upgrade Quicken and PGP Desktop, at a cost, of course. Several improvements, and it does seem faster. Worth the price? Not sure yet.

Good functionality. Nice to have the licenses to cover a many-device household. Easy to install and use. My only wish is that it came with more free online backup space.

Upgraded from Quicken 2007 because that version supposedly doesn’t work with Windows 7. This new 2010 version seems to work fine – more stable than 2007 with the large data file I have. And the user interface has been polished a bit here and there. But there’s really nothing new enough to warrant the price they charge for new versions. I’d be more inclined to get new versions more often, if the upgrade price was cheaper, say $15.
