My kids had been trying to create their own stop motion videos, having this software really helped quite a bit. Keep in mind, this is a software package geared towards extreme novices and children. What you can create won’t be powerful, but it is a great way to start with working with stop motion and coming up with a final product that gets a flew claps from family. The program was easy to load and worked well with our laptops and using a nokia camera.

Every been frustrated because you needed something unzipped, but were being asked to purchase the program first? Wonder what is so great about the paid version? I have to say this version of WinZip does provide many additional options not found in the free versions. While I haven’t yet used everything the program has to offer, I can say it has worked well with Google Drive files. It is nice to be able to zip not just large files, but those files you would like to keep secure.

There are a number of PC utility packages out there. Symantec (Norton), Avanquest, System Mechanic, etc all make system utility programs that are supposed to help you remove old programs, de-clutter your hard drive, remove viruses and trojans, recover lost files, securely delete old files, etc.
I found Fix-It Utilities to be similar to what I have seen in the other packages.
Here’s the trick though - DO NOT INSTALL any of these programs in the name of preventative maintenance.

autocad LT 2010 is a good substitute for professionals who need 2D drafting tools, but who don’t want to pay for the full version of Autocad. This is NOT the tool for someone looking to make basic drawings of their home, business or DIY projects.
I work for is a steel stocking and manufacturing company. We receive drawings from customers in Autocad format every day. All of our work is 2D, and Autocad is an essential tool in our portfolio of applications.

I installed this software on a high-end 64bit machine with 8GB of ram, and Windows 7 Professional that I am using as my media machine. It installed with no problem on the first run through. I then ran it through a series of trials and it passed them all with flying colors. Here are the features that I have tried:nn1 - Playing standard audio files. Most of my files are mp3’s and I did not run in to any problem playing these files.

At the time I am writing this review I have only used the graphic design, vector illustration, website creation / file management, and a little of the Flash capabilities of this product. I have not yet started using the video editing functionality.
My standard tools for this sort of work have been Adobe PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and some ftp tools. I found that everything which I have done with these more expensive tools was easy to do with CorelDraw Premium Suite X5.

A few weeks back I wrote a favorable review for Bit defender. I have since reconsidered that opinion, my wife’s computer having been infected by a virus AND watching Bit defender crash over and over again. Macafee failed me big time a couple of weeks later when it basically seized up one of my other computers.
I installed Trend Micro on my wife’s infected computer and it promptly discovered several of the virus/trojan components, where Bit Defender failed to discover any.

I am not sure about the source of all the complaints about a watermark. Version 12 has no watermark issues, at least as of the time I installed this software.
The OCR works better than older versions of PaperPort and other packages that I have used. It’s still not perfect, but we’ll probably have to wait through a couple of more generations of hardware and software evolution for perfection. It’s VERY good though now.

I’ve used Norton 360 for years now and I couldn’t be happier with it. It keeps my information safe, my computer tuned up, and it keeps my passwords handy so I can log into my accounts quicker. What else do you need in a security suite?nnUpdate: I used Norton 360 happily for years but their latest update is highly flawed and it keeps timing out when I try to log in on both of my computer.

One of the first things any computer security class, seminar, or whatever will tell you is that you need to use a good anti-virus, a firewall, and a password manager is recommended. The password manager allows you to log into that one system and it stores all of your passwords that you can now make as complicated as you should, and you don’t have to remember all of them individually.
