I have used other Rosetta Stone programs and really like the teaching method they use. Each lesson introduces new words and phrases, which are repeated in different ways. The repetition makes it easy to retain the language lessons. The lessons progress in a logical way, so each builds on what has come before. There were no technical problems for me in installing this program on my laptop running Windows XP. Installation takes a long time (it’s a big program), but it worked perfectly.

We have used MS Office on Windows machines for years, and decided to try it on our Mac. It installed without problems and worked just as we expected. If you are moving from a PC to a Mac and want to use familiar software, MS Office for the Mac is your choice.

This is a great buy and a steal. Norton charges 266 percent more for on-line renewal. A yearly charge of $34.00 with this package with 3 licenses versus a price of $80.00 for yearly renewal!. GO figure! I am glad that AMAZON notified me that this deal was available for purchasing online from them.nI highly recommend this Norton 360 package. It is definitely a great buy at this price! I will continue to purchase yearly as long as this deal in available from AMAZON.

QUICK SUMMARY: Full-featured image and photo editing software for the budget-minded. BACKGROUND: I’ve used Paint Shop Pro for years. In fact, I began using PSP back in the days of Compuserve when I could download a few shareware programs and my employer paid for any that I wanted to keep. I’m not a graphics artist, but when I need to do any kind of image editing, I can usually find my way around in PSP to do what I need to do.

I’ve used Norton Internet Security for years (I hate it though, see my review of Norton Internet Security 2008). This year, I’ve experimented with virtual PCs using Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 and VMWare. I tried using NIS 2008, but it wouldn’t install on my virtual PCs (stupid product) so I looked for a cheap alternative, and found OneCare. It installed wonderfully on my virtual PCs, and it does a fine job of protecting them.

The reviews for Money 2005 are very good – I suggest reading them all to see what you’re in for. The big problems for me were:nn1) The ability to have separate category and subcategory lists was removed from the transaction formnn2) I couldn’t easily use the ‘Transfer’ category, especially in a split categorynn3) Annoying duplicate account creationnnOn the first problem, Money 2005 uses just one combined category-subcategory list, so when you enter a transaction, you must choose a category-subcategory from one big list.

Asant is the best. We love their products, just wished they made a 12-port unit in this family. We’re in a mixed environment (2 Windoze, 10 Macs, printers and NAS’s) and the flow in our units are extremely stable and high-speed. We’ve done throughput tests and they’re pretty much up there at maximum. We have 3 lines in Cat-5e and the rest are Cat-6. The runs are between 3m/12ft and 25m 85ft.
