Even though I have a remote CD drive I can connect to my Dell Mini netbook, it was nice not having to haul it out and hook it up. The box comes with instructions and an authorization code to get you to the McAfee website where you can download the latest version of the software. My main concerns were protecting a laptop and netbook running Windows 7, and for that application this is an ideal solution.

McAfee Total Protection 2012 is a great piece of software that I have had running on my desktop for many, many months. Installation was easy and fast and I have not had any problems with viruses since installing. Performance has been good as well and I have no issues.
Like with old versions of McAfee, easy to recommend!!nn**** RECOMMENDED

McAfee uses an outdated download filter which scans every packet before it is transferred to the browser. The side effect is slower download speeds. Well…their own live update program caused the install to crash three times. The live update was averaging about 20 kbps. For those of you unfamiliar with technology, this is half the speed of normal dial-up. I watched the register go from 20…10…5…2…1…0 kbps. Finally at 0 kbph, McAfee told me that I don’t have enough bandwidth to do a live update and the install cannot complete.

McAfee Site Advisor 2009 Plus was easy to install to my computer, which runs on VISTA home edition. It seems to work effectively with Internet Explorer, but not with the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. I also did not like the fact I had to register with McAfee. AVG gives a free virus program, which also comes with this function for free. It truly depends whether you want to spend the money for a mediocre program.

McAfee LiveSafe is a fairly simple and quick installation, requiring about a total of 15 minutes to install into the PC. Thereafter for other devices to install the same anti-virus software, you just need to download it again via the McAfee website.
Additionally, it provides a lock and track PC safeguard function which is very important in case of a lost device where my confidential information resides.
Overall, I like the McAfee LiveSafe that protects my devices from virus, spywares and malware.

McAfee Internet Security is a quality product. It installs and updates easily. I installed the software on twondifferent computers. A $250 laptop with an AMD E-processor, and an expensive desktop with an AMD Quad-core processor. The time difference to install was 12 minutes for the laptop and 2 minutes for the desktop. The protection is quite good, and the simplicity of the program makes it easy to use for most general users to have control of their anitivirus/internet security program.

McAfee All Access for PC, Mac and Mobile 2012 is a program that you can download (after purchase) from the McAfree website without a disk. Inside the box is a card with a code that allows you to download the software. All Access allows you to not only protect your PC from virus and malware, but you can also protect your Mac and Mobile devices. Now, you don’t have to worry about viruses whether you either at home or on the go.

McAfee LiveSafe is a bit different kind of protection for internet users. I received a retail card with instructions to go to the McAfee site and enter the product key on back of the card. Registration was fairly quick and painless and I was not asked for a credit card number as I had feared. So far I have activated the McAfee SafeKey which is added to your browser. When you log in to a web site, a box pops up asking if you want to add it to your account.

McAfee continues to be extremely good at protecting my system. I have used it for several years after trying Norton and a couple of other security systems. Have found McAfee the easiest to use.

McAfee LiveSafe is a new incarnation of winning McAfee All Access with the addition of the SafeKey password management and the Personal Locker document protection, but without the Safe Eyes parental control system (replaced by rudimentary) or the Mozy-powered online backup. However, McAfee All Access (2014) is readily available.
Not many manual controls. Otherwise, LiveSafe all-in-one suite smoothly protects household (network) devices with various most popular operating systems (OSes) eliminating the need to pay much more for the same for each separately.

McAfee is one of the two top providers of protection software for the PC and this latest package is ambitious as anything they’ve ever done. Long gone are the days when they just put an anti-virus program on the shelf, this suite includes a firewall, backup options, spam filters, parental controls, and an advisor that warns you when you’re visiting a web site known for activity such as tricking you into downloading adware.

McAfee LiveSafe is meant to provide comprehensive online protection for your tablets, smartphones, and computers. To this end, this is the only internet security suite that covers an unlimited number of devices. This is spectacular for anyone that has multiple devices that they want to protect. This is the main reason that I tried this product. I don’t use it for my tablets or smartphones, but I do use it on many computer, Macs and PCs.

McAfee has always been a good brand in my mind. I’ve tried a few other brands such as MS and Norton and seem to still like McAfee the best. The MS product is terrible and just slows your pc down with useless performance improvement software that they force you to have run automatically. Norton isn’t bad but McAfee has been a solid brand for a long time so I stick with them.

McAfee All Access is a great way to protect multiple systems that you own without having to spend a lot of money. For quite a while, AV makers were forcing you to pay for every PC you wished to protect. For some of us, that got pretty expensive, pretty fast and it was a pain to have to find an appropriate version for OS X that mirrored the capabilities of the Windows software.

McAfee Anti-Theft 2009 1 User needs Activation, to get the updates, and I would assume to register. It would be more ideal if written into the code of this activation was the Name of the person so that theft of any key files could be traced. This uses vaults to safeguard personal files , and for each password protected vault there is a set of three pre-defined questions if you forget your password ( no room is given for a user defined field).

McAfee’s products have always been reliable and this one doesn’t disappoint. I have it installed on all my devices and so far have not had any issues with the security. Recommended.
