How frustrating it is to get this stupid piece of software installed on my Windows 8 computer. It freezes on the install screen. I have been working for hours, contacted both technical and customer support by email with no response. Of course there is no telephone support either. Clearly other Windows 8 users have had problems since they have various patches and FAQs. None of these methods work with my system however. Now I have no video editing software and one expensive Frisbee. Hope this gets resolved quickly. (P.S. My downloaded free trial had no problems.) I am venting at the complete lack of customer support for a basic installation. It seems to me if Cyberlink is aware of installation problems, they should have live staff ready to help.
Update: 4⁄4 After nearly a week and many frustrating hours, Cyberlink sent me a new link for download. I am raising my rating to three stars but will raise it again if it meets expectations. The trial version convinced me to buy it. The slow response to my installation problem almost had me send it back. Now I am guardedly optimistic that it will work out.
