I purchased this product primarily due to the low cost post mail-in rebates. I am myself a systems programmer and well-versed with computers. Essentially, I was distressed with having too many software products from different vendors in order to maintain a secure and healthy computer. This product had all the products and thus I purchased it. I plan to right now purchase quickly a 2nd. product - anything but this!nn(a) Anti-virus - works well and good.

(b) Firewall - absolutely useless and very, very un-professionally done. Although it will give you the option to block an ActiveX, it will keep asking you at least 10 times for THE SAME SESSION AND WEB-PAGE! Each time, you have click. Also, if the user enables the option of program checking any sub-programs requesting I-acess, then you are in for a surprise. IRRESPECTIVE of what you give - Norton’s window will keep popping up, in 1 case for a single program, within 30 minutes came at least 50 times!nn© Spyware -catches nothing, absolutely nothing!nn(d) Privacy control - well, let’s assume you have protected 3 items and a web-site asks these 3 (among others) .. loo behold Norton seeks your permission for the SAME SESSION - 6 times!nn(e) Email spam control - my friend’s email landed in Norton Junk folder - fine and I clicked the toolbar teaching Norton - well it is not a spam. Next day, day-after and every day - my friend’s email still lands in the junk folder. Why should I force myself to add him to my personal address book, he is present in my Outlook contacts, I have instructed Norton NOT to treat that email ID as junk - but nothing. Zilch.

All in all, a terrible, terrible experience.
