I love these software programs you can play around with editing and creating videos. I’ve used an older version of Power Director so I am somewhat familiar with using such software, and Pinnacle Studio 18 Plus has a similar look and feel with a screen layout that has tabs for Media, Effects, Transitions and sound effects.
The installation does take quite a bit of time. Maybe it’s my PC, which is a Toshiba i5 with 4G memory running Windows 7. It took at least an hour for the installation and set up. The program will automatically scan your computer for media files.
Lack of a printed manual is disappointing but typical nowadays. There is a good (and large) 439 page downloadable Manual as well as video tutorials. I really wish software would come with a printed manual to make it easier to learn, and follow instructions as I am using the program.nOverall, I think this is a great editing program and having fun tinkering around with it. I deducted one star for no printed manual.
