Although I’ve always known Norton’s security products have a sterling reputation, at some point years ago I switched to another leading brand because my company had installed that brand on our work computers. At the time I thought they knew something I didn’t know, but now I think they must have just gotten a good deal with the licenses. Switching back to Norton has been like a breath of fresh air!nnThe Norton software is easy to install. It updates and scans in the background; and in fact, it detects when the computer is idle and does quick virus scans and system checks - rather than the way their competitor did it, which was to skip scheduled sessions entirely if I wasn’t logged in at the scheduled time.

Best of all, unlike the other guys, Norton doesn’t bomb me with advertising for their other products, nor do they have a default opt-in to automatically renew and charge your credit card when your software is approaching expiration. (They let you know - they just don’t beat you over the head with it.)nnI’m loving Norton’s Antivirus package! Recommended.
