As an infrequent casual photographer who finds the inclination to pull out one of the cameras for special events or vacation trips necessitating a review of the cameras capabilities in the car or plane on the way to venue and then worrying about the results achieved once I transfer the pics to a laptop, this package is just about the perfect triage package for me. That said, so would be Adobe Elements or for that matter, based on how much I require of any photo editing software, Roxio Creator NXT.
And, thats somewhat of the point. While the stand alone products I have used all contain more robust complements of utilities to manipulate the subject media, more often than not after dabbling for a while in the attempt to understand the capabilities of the application I ended up using a pretty typical core group of features and forgetting how to quickly and efficiently employ the more sophisticated features, finding myself often frustrated with the need to reacquaint myself with the software in order to reach some crest of achievement.
As an infrequent user, there are a wealth of image editing and adjustment features and utilities that are reasonably user friendly as well as a catalog of significantly more sophisticated functions that are available for users with greater skill sets and requisite needs. If I elect to step up my game, I am not constricted by a software package that will not accommodate my improvement and equally as important to me, is a product with a one-time cost (even if I don’t really own any more than I own any software) versus a virtual payday loan package.
