This is my first experience with McAfee, after several years with Norton. One thing I like is that McAfee Total Protection (2016) offers protection for all devices in your household. It’s virtually identical to McAfee’s entry-level suite, except that it adds basic file encryption and includes four more licenses for the Intel True Key password manager. The Intel True Key is a multi-factor authentication app for added security at logins. (Intel owns McAfee.)nnThis works great and isn’t obnoxious like some other virus protection software I’ve tried in the past. It works behind the scenes and we haven’t had any problems with our computers since downloading it. Installation was very easy. I was directed every step of the way and it installed with no problems.
This product works with Windows, Mac OS, Android, and iOS devices. I have Windows 10, and there were no problems. McAfee antivirus rates high in lab tests and reviews in major magazines. The antiphishing and antispam is excellent, and it features an encrypted file vault. This includes five licenses for Intel True Key password manager.
Theres also a new scanning feature that can check out all the devices connected to your home network to make sure they’re protected with McAfee security products. As a side note, McAfee is also adding security protection for Android Wear watches, while McAfee Web Advisor checks to make sure your anti-virus and firewall are up. Firewall does appear to be fully protected though.
Bottom line is that this is an easy to use product that works will all of your devices and is seems to offer excellent protection. 4 1⁄2 stars.
