We have trusted Norton security products to protect our Microsoft Windows based machines for more than a decade and Norton Security with Backup is this years version of that well known and trusted product line. Since the beginning days of Microsoft DOS and Windows, Microsoft operating systems have always been the most insecure products available. Before the Internet, Norton was protecting our DOS machines from insecure floppy viruses. Today there are 100,000’s if not millions of different versions of malware targeting Windows machines. We have been pretty lucky over the years because we usually install Norton on any Windows machine as soon as the machine is unpacked and before we allow anyone to use it. I have lost count the number of times Norton security has automatically detected and protected our PCs from various floppy, USB, download and web attacks.
