I’m an amateur when it comes to digital artwork. I had fun experimenting with this program now that I have a new computer. I’m not a talented artist by any stretch of the imagination, but I was able to create little works of art. I was able to intuitively start on a project, but mastering Painter 12, will not be easy for a novice. There are a wealth of tools in this program to meet the needs of real artists.

Also of note, this is not a photo editor so much as a painting program. If you are looking for a cheaper Photoshop alternative, this program is not it. It’s great for what it does - which is allow you to create painting on your computer.
