Paperport has been around for a decade, I have used most of the previous versions and always been impressed with the way you can scan, assemble, and organize all your documents so you have them in one place.

This version includes a new interface which now looks like Microsoft Office 2007 in style. However although it now has a modern look, it retains a lot of the features from previous versions of Paperport so it still has a familiar feel to it. You have your system file directory on the left, document thumbnails on the right and the main buttons for scanning etc. on the top.

I first installed this program on a Vista computer but unfortunately it crashed my computer and I had to use a restore point so I decided it was a bad idea to try and use it on that computer and instead I installed in on one with Windows 7 with no problems. I use it along with a HP All-in-One Printer / Scanner and it works perfectly and I have already scanned 100’s of documents.

A new and very useful program added to Paperport is PDF Viewer Plus. This is a program which you can open and display, edit, and annotate PDF files very quickly.

Once you have everything done then this program lets you e-mail, fax or send your documents by simply drag-and-dropping them onto the PaperPort SendTo Bar.

It couldn’t really be simpler so bottom line if you need a program to organize and find documents quickly and then send them to anyone or just store them then this one is a must.
