I’ve been using Turbo Tax to file my federal and state income taxes for the past 5 years. It’s definitely better than doing them by hand, but this year the program seemed a lot more cumbersome and lengthy than last year. And we had less things to deduct or pay this year.

Another thing it seemed to do was to print out duplicates and triplicates of not only the return but also bunches of worksheets that I’ll probably never look at again or need. I had tons of paper when I finished. And I’m pretty sure that I didn’t request all the extra copies.

Next year maybe I’ll try Tax Cut or one of the other tax applications.
