The sage 50 Accounting installation was straight forward on my windows xp Home pc. It asked to install or remove previous versions and had a choice of manually or automatically configuring for the firewall. It also asked if installation was for a single computer or network. Most normal installations would assume the defaults, which makes it easy to install for the average user. The entire install took approx. 20-25 minutes.nI received no errors, nor had any issues with the install.

Upon completion, the program opened and wanted me to setup a company. It again was straight forward to setup. It did have an option to convert a company from an existing accounting program. I followed it thru the series of questions, but never got to what type of accounting programs it could convert. So, instead I followed the template of building it from a sample business. It did have a beginners (new to sage) instructional. All in all - the setup was easy and now I’m looking forward to using it for my companies accounting. Over all probably recommended for some one who knows some basic accounting.
