I installed an upgrade version of this product. Previous versions verified the product key before the installation. This one does not. Everything installed fine, however now I have trouble verifying the activation code. The copy is legit, but the activation does not work and provides no reason for why not. Now I have to contact Microsoft to figure out why the activation key is not working. Possibly I have to reinstall the previous operating system and then the upgrade again - or buy a new key. This problem might have occurred because I might have formated the computer before installing the upgrade. I think Microsoft built in this problem on purpose to sell more licenses. I have to use Windows for some tasks. However, I use mostly Macs now for my work and I can only advice anyone interested in switching to Apple to do it. Compared to the problems that Microsoft computers cause Macs are a bargain. Macs simply work, which works for me.
