There are a couple of choices when you are looking for your trip guidance and maps software/equipment.
I am going to compare Microsoft streets and maps to other choices available and let you decide if this is right for you:nnMicrosoft streets & trips v/s Delorome earthmate LT-40 GPSn==========================================================nWhile both of these come with software + hardware (GPS dongle). I found Delorome earthmate to be better than Microsoft Streets and trips for these reasons:n(1) Better live navigation - The voice and guidance from Delorome is way better than MS streets & trpsn(2) Delerome is 3D presentation while MS streets & trips is just 2d presentationn(3) Delerome costs $39 while ms streets & trips cost $54 - at the time of this reviewnnMicrosoft streets & trips v/s Online maps - google, yahoo, MS liven==========================================================n(1) Good - MS Streets is way faster than any of the online mapsn(2) Good - MS streets does not need internet connection unlike online maps - literally works everywheren(3) Bad - MS streets & trips requires you to upgrade every year for updated map information and POI (points of interests) such as restaurants, gas stations, while online maps do not need you to subscribe to any updatesn(4) Bad - Online versions contain street view (in google), birds eye view in (MS live) and satellite view (in all online maps) while MS streets and trips does not contain any photographynnMicrosoft streets & trips v/s Portable GPS units (Garmin/Tom-Tom) …n==========================================================n(1) Good - MS streets & trips can be viewed on a larger screen on your laptop v/s tiny screens on a portable GPS unitsn(2) Good - MS streets & trips costs much lower than portable GPS unitsn(3) Bad - Portable GPS units are far more portable, easy to view(can be fixed on the windshield) compared to MS streets and tripsn(4) Bad - Portable GPS units are more user friendly with easy to navigate interface and touch screens while MS Streets and trips requires use of computer keys which can be distracting as well as cumbersomennSafety concerns:n================nLastly I have a few safety concerns about using this product on your laptop while drivingn(1) Unless your laptop is fixed well into the car - it can be flying object hazard.

A quick and to the point review of PCtools anti-spyware:nnHow does PCtools compare with the rest of the anti-spyware in the market ?nPCtools is the best, I have personally tried and tested Mcshield, Trend micro … PCtools is the best in both protecting your computer as well as having the least performance impact on the processing.
Will PCtools protect and remove all the spyware on my computer ?nYes, it is remove most (90%) of the spyware, but not all.

We run an online business that needs minimal book keeping - we do checks, payables and expenses - we do not have any employees since we run it ourselves.
This has been a great software to maintain the books for our business.

The kind of threats from the internet has increased to just beyond viruses - spamware, adware, worms …. What you would need is a comprehensive security that not only protects against viruses, but also against all the threats.
Since there are so many of them in the market, it can be a bit confusing on which one to buy - I have highlighted a few +ves and -ves of using AVG.

If there is one reason why I like this product, it is the simplistic rating that they provide to each and every website even before you visit that website. Let us say for example that you visit […] and search for ‘LCD HDTV’ - google comes back with thousand of results - we all know that some of these sites are genuine and some of them are just spam sites which are there just to introduce virus into our computer and hack information from us.

I installed this on my Asus netbook, and my Android tablet running Froyo. Both less than 12 months old, and neither one used much on a regular basis.
The Netbook: This software, during the installation process, tries to make you think it’s found threats on your computer, when I know for a fact my netbook had nothing wrong with it. It’s a scare tactic to make you think you NEED McAfee (and no other brand) to make your PC-life better and stress-free.

So thankful I backed up my videos and photos that dated back to 2004 before installing this software. Cyberlink wants to do file associations of its own and I don’t like it for this reason. Otherwise, this software would be decent….it worked fine with Windows 8.1, the user interface is easy on the eyes and it played any video format I wanted.

I wanted to like this software. I wanted something a little more than what Windows Movie Maker has to offer…and in that regard, this doesn’t disappoint. It’s semi-complicated if you compare it to something basic like WMM, but the wizards made basic video and slideshows easy to navigate.
What I don’t care for is the small font size between looking at numbers all day at my bank job and then coming home and trying to make a video beyond a basic one well, let’s just say my eyes were too worn out for this.

I’ve used Norton 360 since 2009, except for a 6 month time period about a year ago when I tried Avast-Free which left me with 2 Trojan files that Norton 360 picked up on the minute I re-installed it. Since this is a 3 PC copy, I also installed it on my old desktop PC I use for work projects, and on my netbook. This runs unobtrusively in the background, even when doing a short scan, and doesn’t slow any of my PC’s down.
