I will just cut to the chase: Like most Cyberlink products, this software does the job well, and it’s fairly complete, with lots of cool features to make either a great home video, or a more advanced editing project come to life.
I was pleased with the special effects offered with PowerDirector 11, and without having to go through the very thick manual, I still managed to do some simple editing and put together a few movies.

I keep hoping that the Mac version of QuickBooks Pro will function like the windows version so I can complete my migration from Windows to Mac and discard Parallels Desktop. IF Microsoft can make Mac versions of Word, Excel, and Powerpoint that function identically between Windows and Mac with perfect file compatibility, there is no reason that Intuit cannot do the same. The Mac version of QuickBooks is functional, but limited compared to the Windows version if you’re already using it.

If you remember your foreign language classes in high school, it is likely not with a smile. The endless conjugation of verbs and repeating vocabulary over and over and over… tedious and not very productive. But Rosetta Stone has solved that.
How does a child learn a new language? Through immersion. Expose a child to a new language, and they will pick it up without ever having to go through the endless practice of German 101.

Trend Mocro Internet Security Pro provides very good protection from virus and worms, and it is a very good replacement for the default Windows Firewall. Since my email server already protects me from Spam, I haven’t really been able to evaluate that so far (nothing has penetrated the email server). The interface is well laid out and easy to navigate. As a whole, Internet Security Pro seems to do an admirable job of protecting my Windows Vista computers (another good aspect: this will protect up to 2 computers).

Ten years ago, McAfee Anti-Virus used to be the best option to protect your vulnerable Windows computers from the threats swirling around your inbox and the internet. One of the best aspects of McAfee was that it did not bring your system to a screeching halt like Norton did, and it ran quietly in the background only bothering you when it detected an actual threat. Now, it is 2012 and McAfee has become the same bloatware that Norton has always been.

I was first introduced to Kaspersky Anti-Virus when I converted to Mac OS X over three years ago and installed Parallels Desktop, which cam with a year of Kaspersky that it installed automatically. Until then, I had not been too familiar with the application, but was blown away with its performance. I soon replaced McAfee and Trend Micro on all my work PCs with Kaspersky and have been very happy ever since.

Works as well as others but cheaper. Still has that question about internet sales tax that should not be in there.

Have used Turbo Tax for years. Don’t know if there are better programs or not. I see ways that program could be improved but I always seem to muddle through it and get my taxes done.

This may be a good product, but buyer beware—-IT DOES NOT CONTAIN A STATE RETURN—which is important for the vast majority of buyers. I obviously am disappointed in the product I received as well as disappointed in Amazon for not clearly stating that the State software is not included.

Works behind the scenes and have had no virus issues. Was a little difficult to get all the old Norton stuff off. Caused some problems until it found it all.
