Although VideoStudio Pro is a good product, I don’t expect to use it much. Back in the early days of home digital video, users typically had to add a FireWire (IEEE 1394) card to their computer. These cards usually came bundled with video editing software, and the most prominent at the time were starter editions of Ulead Video Studio and Pinnacle Studio. Both of those have evolved over the years, and both of them are now Corel products.

There are several good video editing programs out there and I must confess that Cyberlink hasn’t been my favorite in the past. All the major ones have been growing in leaps and bounds over the years, and much of what companies have been adding hasn’t been all that helpful. Adding another hundred transition effects doesn’t do much for me because there are a few dozen at most that I’ll use in real life, and even at that I’ll use only a handful on any given project.

I’ve always preferred H&R Block and it’s earlier named product over the major competitors product. It is easy to use.

You must have powerful, solid hardware to run this. If so, it does a fairly good job at what it is trying to do. It has some nice features, but being a newbie I have not tackled all of those yet. I hope they work as well as the basic stuff does. If you just do simple stuff, then you can manage without actually reading lots of stuff. I can’t speak to the higher level management of this product as I am not that smart….

Ok, I have been buying TurboTax since 1992. I have NEVER used anything else. I only buy on Amazon. I actually got in on a sale day this year and got $10 off. OK, that is good, but listen to this. I have filed four returns on this TurboTax. All have gotten refunds. That means that I paid $30 for the TurboTax, and different family members, including me, have gotten back $80 added to an Amazon gift card.

Very basic. Does everything…..that a normal taxpayer would need done. This makes 16 TurboTax years in a row that I have bought. I have no complaints.

This is easy to complete. If you want to go super complicated, then you probably need a lawyer and such. Most of us have pretty straight forward concepts we are trying to set in place. This does the job. We have pleased with the product.

My 23rd year in continuous using of TurboTax. I have grown with the company thru their mistakes, and they have always moved forward. That is why I keep coming back. I know their product makes my life of filing almost easy. Certainly compared to the years of IRS books and pouring over this regulation or that…..now it is all within my fingertips…..just a click and a read away to find out whatever I need to know.

I have been a user of Lightroom for several years. I’ve dutifully upgraded from Lightroom 3 up to the current 5.1 as successive versions were released. When I was offered the chance to review Cyberlink PhotoDirector 5 Ultra, it seemed like a natural fit… To make a long story short, CPD5U is a solid competitor to Lightroom. If you’re a current Lightroom user, moving to CPD5U is a no brainer…the user interface is very similar and the workflow is the same.
