Unfortunately, this program does not work anywhere as well as my Dragon Natural Speaking Windows/PC program. Reading through the reviews here I can see that others have come to this same conclusion. Very disappointing.

I like the many features of this software. Being able to assembly a family tree in a variety of different visual formats is very nice. The free month of Ancestry.com is a nice (and almost necessary) feature if you are serious about researching your family history.
I dislike the fact that to get the free month you have to give them your personal information and a credit card–and if you don’t cancel your membership within the 30 days you will be automatically billed.

I’ve been using Norton’s Internet Security for years but about 6 months ago I started having a lot of problems with my computer freezing up during the virus definition updates (which seem to occur a couple times a day). Therefore, I was interested in trying another company’s product.
During installation of this product I had to remove SpyBot software because of conflicts between the two programs. While I wasn’t happy doing that–I thought I would at least give this program a try and if necessary go back to Norton’s products.

I basically just use this to zip and unzip files. I know there are many free software programs that will also do these basic functions–but I’ve grown use to using WinZip back when it was shareware so it is the software I like using. It is also handy that it will let you preview the files before unzipping.

I have used TurboTax for the last several years, and each year, there is exactly one form that is keeping me from using a cheaper version of TurboTax.
One year, it was having an HSA. I could have filed with TurboTax Basic except for needing a single form (8889) causing me to need Deluxe instead.
The next year, it’s a single stock sale causing me to need Premier instead of Deluxe.

We switched over to them after Turbotax decided they didn’t value their customers and could screw them last year by removing a feature that had been in for years and trying to tell us all it was to serve us better. Hey Intuit you lost a customer of about 15 years doing that you morons! So we got it and H&R Block imported things just fine last year. It took a little getting used to, but no real issues.

I got my computer with Vista pre-installed. It seems to vary depending on who gets it, some are lucky and it runs fine, while others have nothing but trouble. I fall into the second group. For me it’s slow, buggy, bloated, and annoying. Until service pack 1 was released, I wasn’t able to right-click without crashing Explorer. No, you didn’t read that incorrectly. I couldn’t right-click without crashing Explorer! It was fixed for a while, but I’ve started having the issue again.

We got this software this year after Turbotax pulled their funny business with dividend payments. The software is a bit rougher than Turbotax, but was quite adequate for our needs. Short version, we’re pretty much certain to go with H&R Block next year instead. Intuit lost a 10+ year customer.
If this is your first time doing your own taxes you might want to use other software. There was one point where I either missed it, it wasn’t clear, or it skipped it, that I wouldn’t have got my DMV deductions in if I hadn’t known to go back.

You’re probably wondering why you’d possibly even need a compression program nowadays. Didn’t Windows XP and beyond add a compressed folder support for Zip files? Why would I spend money on something I already have? What are you trying to pull? You’re hair looks stupid!nnI’ll get to those questions shortly, except for the hair thing. That’s just hurtful and not even actually a question. Why you gotta be so mean?nnIf you’re like me the only time you’ve seen WinZip in the past is people using the shareware version of it, probably questionably from a legal point of view, to zip and unzip files.
