This version has all the features of PowerDirector 11 Ultra, but adds two powerful modules, ColorDirector and SoundDirector to take your videos even further. If you like Ultra, but want to be able to have more control over color and audiomixing this version gives you that added functionality. I have used a lot of different video editing packages, but this one has it all from special effects to titles and onboard DVD authoring and web sharing.

Cyberlink PowerDirector 11 is a fun, intuitive, and easy to learn video editing program. It is highly stable and not susceptible to crashes like some other consumer level video editing software titles. It offers a full feature set that allow the novice to grown and take on more and more advanced projects. You have unlimited sound and video tracks to add to your project, as well as popular green screen and PIP options.

I was a little apprehensive about trying PowerDirector 10 Ultra because in the past I’d downloaded a demo to edit my AVCHD video footage and the program crash and gaged on it. To be fair, though, it was in the early days of hidef video editing and all the bugs had not been worked out yet; I also have a more powerful system now. I was pleasantly surprised when I dug into the program, I’ve been a Pinnacle Studio and Sony Vegas user for years.

I’ve used Norton Security products for years with minimum problems. I think it’s overpriced and I started using Microsoft’s free Security Essentials for our laptops because we don’t use them as much. I think that this version of Norton Security doesn’t bog down our two desktop computer’s system as much, but it still has some annoying bugs that keep cropping up across versions. It offers more features than Microsoft’s free security software that I find helpful, like the identity safe–otherwise I think it’s a bit complicated.

I owned Q2008, Q2005 & Q2002 and I used them daily. during that decade, I observed no significant product improvements, just a huge increase in software bugs.
Look up the Q2010 and/or Q2008 products, where I posted detailed logs/diaries of the endless bugs, errors and frustrations I endured as a Quicken user.
In August, 2010, I finally migrated to the Moneydance product and–after the migration and learning curve issues–I find it swims slick as an eel.
