Peachtree accounting became known as Sage not too long ago. Peachtree has been a trusted name in accounting software for decades. I first used Peachtree software in the mid 90’s for payroll purposes at a company I worked for at the time. I am primarily a Quickbooks user but I wanted to give Sage a shot. it is definitely a solid product and it seems like a well-planned out piece of software and I could certainly see myself using it on a daily basis.

This software is a very good option for the intermediate video editor on a budget. If after using this product you find you are limited then you can think about upgrading to Vegas or Final Cut, but chances are this program will get the job done for you. It’s fairly easy to use as these types of programs go, and in fact I found it easier to use than Final Cut Express.

Yes, the software is quirky and yes sometimes things are changed that can be annoying but I have used this program for a long time and fully plan on continuing to do so. It’s a great program that has yet to encounter any serious competitors.

The storage amount is simply too small to be useful. I am using much less than 25GB right now for only the most important files that I already have backed up 2 other places. I wouldn’t dream to go above the 25GB here because the overage space is way too expensive. Sorry but 25gb is just too s,all for most people these days. 5-7 years ago this would be more relevant perhaps.

After experiencing a little bit of a dip in quality, Norton has greatly improved their Antivirus program over the past few years. This program is vastly superior to the free programs out there and it will be clear from the first use.

I am primarily a Quickbooks user but I wanted to give Sage a shot. it is definitely a solid product and while I did not get to the point of using the payroll function, I was surprised to learn that payroll can no longer be entered even manually without a fee.

Corel continues to be the best budget software choice for video, audio and photo editing. The controls are intuitive and online support is great. Corel is a well-established company that has worked on finely honing its products over the years. I own several different Corel packages and they have all been great. if you can’t afford Adobe but want something better than freeware then I highly recommend this product.

Not everyone can afford thousands of dollars for Final Cut or Adobe products. With this suite, Sony offers a fairly extensive video editing suite for a decent price. For the vast, vast majority of users this software will be sufficient for video editing. I think this program is a great place to start for any beginner or intermediate level editor. You can always upgrade to Final Cut or Adobe later if your needs outpace this software.

I have always had a soft spot for Roxio products and have used them for about 15 years now. They continue to be easy to use and very effective. This suite offers a lot of basic media editing features that many beginners will find useful. It does not offer as much as I would have liked in the media playback area but I suppose this is a fairly basic program so I can’t expect it to do everything.
