This is a fairly painless upgrade, at least when done using the code bought directly from Amazon, but at the same time it irritates me that it is even needed. My opinion is that Microsoft should have just sucked it up and put out a single version of Windows 8, even if doing so might have meant they would have a bunch of customers that would have had features they didn’t need (which might have cost Microsoft some licensing fees to have included).

Installed easily (through internet download which was required) and relatively quickly (it didn’t take so long that it frustrated it me while I was left waiting for the download and install to complete) and includes the features and functionality that I would expect. That leaves the big question of does this package offer much difference between it and previous versions of Microsoft Office?nnThat is a question that isn’t quite as easy for an end-user like me to answer.

I really hope that it’s a long, long, long time before I might really need the benefits that this product offers me (or my family), I know this is a vitally important task/area of life that I want to have well handled.
Just a little personal history. Back in July 2009 my first wife was killed in a car wreck (not her fault, someone in a much bigger vehicle literaly ran over her vehicle as she tried to make a left turn across the road).

Argh… I remember being stuck with a limited selection of software that would play HD DVD (for those that remember that now dead and well orphaned product) and Blu-ray and being faced with the choice of PowerDVD and a few other products (including from a competitor of the manufacturer of this product). In the end, well, I’d have to recommend going with a competing product still as it seems that Cyberlink has failed in any real effort at improving their products in any significant manner.

I’ve used CorelDRAW for years - since CorelDraw 3 - so I was very excited to get the chance to use Corel VideoStudio Ultimate x7.
I’m a complete novice at video editing. Prior to getting VideoStudio, my video was whatever I recorded at the time. I had no idea how to edit out unintended stuff or add titles or add music, etc. Even though it has plenty of very sophisticated and complex editing options available to the user, this software makes it easy to get started.

I’ve used WinZip for years as a shareware application and I love it. Corel purchased WinZip in 2006 and has steadily added more file formats as well as a host of extra features.
I had no problems with installation. Registration was easy too but note that Corel asks you for your email address, company name and your physical address in order to complete registration. I entered only my email address and it registered just fine so you really don’t have to provide any more information than that.

I’ve used CorelDRAW for many years - since version 3. I used it as a desktop publisher and a typesetter and to create architectural shop drawings. These days, I use it to create graphics that I can import into embroidery digitizing programs to create custom embroidery designs.
The reason it’s so wonderful is that it created graphics in a vector-based format. Vector based graphics are different than, say, bitmaps because they are infinitely re-sizeable without any loss of resolution.
