My gripe relates exclusively to the activation scheme, which includes surreptitious installation of a rogue program called C-Dilla on your hard drive.nI’ve been using TT for roughly ten years. The program itself is great, but I’m strongly opposed to the aggravation of the various activation processes used by Intuit, Microsoft and others. I concur with the need for software developers to protect themselves against piracy, but it shouldn’t be done at the expense of honest consumers.

I’m a 20 year PC veteran who recently bought a Mac PowerBook. I’m running Windows XP Pro on my other machines, but am finding OS X is more stable, has a cleaner interface, and is simpler to work with when installing software and hardware. I’ll probably switch totally to Mac over the next year, assuming more software becomes available.nNote that OS X is built around a Unix-core, which to me is a big plus.

Corel has created a beautifully intricate video editing program that is perfect for the intermediate to advanced user. If you are looking to put together family videos, wedding videos, etc. then this product is a great intermediate to advanced step. If you are a beginner… you may want to start with something a bit more simplified. With a few tutorials that I found online I was on my way to putting together videos of my kids’ birthday parties and family reunions.

I picked this up because I am working on my M.Ed. in Instructional Technology and knew that I would need some higher ranking software for photo and video editing than the free stuff on the internet and what came with my camera. Admittedly I have not used every filter and do-dad in this kit, but as an average Joe, looking for something to one up Windows Video editor and such, this did the trick.

First off let me clarify that my only experience in working with animation software is through the mini-free online apps and websites I use for my classroom on occasion. We chose the Anime Studio Pro 8 for our son (12 years old) to learn basic animation with some additional features and tools. He wants to be a video game designer when he grows up and from the reviews we read this would be a great starting point, but by no means a professional tool for selling your own games.

Wow- OK, I admit that my comparison of online/digital language courses is being compared to Rosetta Stone, but as an educator in general, this program is awful. They teach you words at random (not in word sets), verbs are non existent in the beginning phases, and the voices and illustrations (not photos) are boring (very elementary in drawing style). For $30 you are paying them tp package and ship this junk to you… not to learn a language.

This product makes doing our taxes very easy! I don’t know if we would have saved more by going to a tax preparer, but our taxes are not complicated!

Use it every year and amazon had the best price for the Turbo Tax and Quicken. Our taxes are very straight forward and this software works great for us. We also use Quicken to track investment so I get the combo pack for the combo price! Highly recommend for the DIY’r, especially someone just beginning to do their own taxes and tracking their investments! A good learning tool!

I downloaded the product onto my laptop. Everything went very well, appeared to be a very accurate product. We have simple taxes, we get tax paperwork for every thing we have to enter.
