I liked the Internet Security 2012 Suite from McAfee. The installation of the software was more thorough than others I’ve tried (like Trend Micro). I appreciated that before the software is installed, it runs a security check to see if viruses or other threats are on your system BEFORE the McAffee is installed on your computer. It also provides a site advisor and red, yellow or green lights (while surfing or visiting sites online) to let you know if a site is safe to visit, or poses a security threats.

I’ve used both free anti virus suites (like Clamwin) and proprietary ones like Norton. I decided to switch anti-virus suites and try Kasperky’s for the first time. I’ve used some of their free virus removal tools in the past, and was impressed. This suite doesn’t disappoint, and has many of the traditional features that most antivirus program have such as anti-phishing, trusted application mode, that most anti virus programs have.

WinZip 18 software is excellent for archiving and compressing files. It’s still the best around for compressing large files (and the best one to use for zip files). If I was simply needed something to open already zipped files; however, I still prefer open source software like 7-zip for opening already archived files, which I personally find easier to use.

Disappointed with this version of Turbo Tax, and had to end up going to a tax professional to have my return done. Why would I need to spend $40 for the deluxe version of Turbo Tax in order to get my tax return done? I think Turbo Tax needs to be upfront about what features you’ll get with the basic versus the deluxe. I always use the 1040EZ to file my taxes.

I’m a bit fed up with Norton. So fed up in fact that I decided to try one of its competitors. And I have to say, I’m surprised by my choice, and not only surprised, but pleasantly intrigued.
Trend Micro’s Internet Security Pro v2 has all the right features and more that made me reconsider the value of incumbents. For example, Trend Micro has a nice graphical dashboard that identifies all the threads it neutralized on my computer, thus giving me this nice and cushy feeling of security.

Pinnacle rocks! It is one of my favorite video editing software packages on the market. I can make all sorts of audio and video edits. Perfect in terms of usability and cost.

Norton’ powerful suite provides near complete protection for all devices. I would give it 5 stars but I know from experience that there is never a security software that can eliminate all threats. Norton come close to it, but even Norton has its limits. Overall, highly recommended as one of the best protection software applications on the market.

McAfee’s products have always been reliable and this one doesn’t disappoint. I have it installed on all my devices and so far have not had any issues with the security. Recommended.

This Cyberlink is really making me reevaluate my prior choice of using Pinnacle as my video editor software. With Pinnacle Studio my PC used to freeze and crash often. Not so with Cyberlink (which also outperforms Pinnacle on my Windows 7-64 bit machine). It is now my personal choice. The software also works with Windows 8. Overall, great experience so far. Highly recommended.

For those of you who are seriously determined to learn more than just the basics of French in a short amount of time, well this is your chance. This product is not cheap at first glance, but when you add up all the costs for books, language lessons and time you’ll spend in a community college or with a private tutor, you’ll quickly realize the value of owning The Rosetta Stone.
