I’ve always liked WordPerfect. It’s really easy to use and the environment is comfortable and intuitive. This version is a clear improvement over the last one.
The tools you’re used to are still there, but what makes it better is the editing tools for PDF type documents. I bought Adobe Acrobat because I needed to be able to do some things with fillable forms, but still did my formatting in WordPerfect then amended the documents in Acrobat for the functionality I needed.

Through the last 20 years my husband and I have used a lot of office software. Right now, WordPerfect is my default, and OpenOffice is his. However, he switches to WordPerfect office for some specific things, and I don’t use OpenOffice for anything, because WordPerfect does everything I need.nIt saves nicely in a lot of formats and has all the applications you expect from a good office suite. It’s intuitive to use, and common enough that if you do get stuck, it’s easy to find a solution to the problem without having get customer support.

I liked X6 quite a bit for making animations, slide show videos and editing videos because it was clear and intuitive. This version has a few more bells and whistles, but it’s mostly the same program. Except it’s a lot faster.
What I like about VideoStudio is that it’s somewhere between being absolutely a beginner’s video editing program and a full featured pro editing software. It’s more than enough for the types of videos that I make- mostly instructional craft videos or simple animations and slideshows.

I design printable crafts and draw coloring pages for my blog as well as being an illustrator for mandala themed coloring books. Most of my work is done in graphics programs, and I get asked fairly regularly what programs I recommend.
My own preference is CorelDraw and Painter, but those are a little out of the pricing range for a lot of people, so I appreciated the chance to try out Painter Essentials.

I used to have this. This is the Office suite I prefer. The later editions aren’t as good. I hated office 365 when I tried it so I went hunting for this. Yaho. Shane

This early edition of PagePlus certainly came with its share of bugs and quirks.nThankfully, more recent versions are more streamlined and intuitive.
One of the biggest problems with this one was a clumsy installation process and registration.nPagePlus can be fun, just get a newer version than this.
