Intuit is a despicable company now. This is the same that company came out with really functional and reasonably priced products in early 1990’s like Quicken, Quickbooks & Turbotax.
But somewhere in late 1990’s this company was taken over by the same crooks who run the Wall Street. Instead of attracting users to upgrade to their product’s new versions by improving them, like Apple does, the nitwits at Intuit blackmail you to upgrade to newer versions of Intuit products by taking away the functionality of earlier versions.

I think I got my first version of PDF create 2.0 with my first Xerox scanner about 10 years ago. It was very useful and handy, it helped create PDF file from anything that can be printed. Since then, I have accumulated almost every version of PDF create, most of them came with one or the other multifunction machine or Paperport. But PDF Creator version 7.0 is the slowest and the most buggy.

I have been a QuickBooks user since 1992 and it was a nifty product, relatively inexpensive at about $59 and served my purpose well. However, every time I upgraded the product after 1999, I ran into serious problems-like not being able to open the data file, download the transactions from the bank or get the payroll to work. And getting technical support from QuickBooks is almost impossible. But QuickBooks always found a way to force the upgrade and I had to upgrade from QuickBooks Pro 2006 to QuickBooks Pro 2009 because they stopped downloading the bank transactions.

This software does almost everything that Lightroom does at a less cost. Most people do not need or use all the features in Lightroom. I am not a professional photographer and for my needs this software is more that adequate. Once in a while it hangs up, but other than that it works fine.

I could not get this software to work. Every time it rejected the serial number that came with the CD.

In February of 2015, this product key did not work for me. I had to call Microsoft activation help line to get it to work. Looks like these product keys are really old and Microsoft does not automatically support them. If you can wait a few months to upgrade, then Windows 10 is coming out and supposedly a free upgrade.

If you are used to Dragon naturally Speaking Windows version, then you will not like this product. As I understand the speech engine is same as Dragon Naturallyspeaking, but somehow, the performance does not transfer to the Mac version - and this is version 5!nnMost software for Mac has better user interface compared to Windows software; but in Dragon’s case, it is the other way round. Mac version is not user-friendly and difficult to use, installation is very tortuous, takes a long time, and instead of starting with your previous version 4.

Nuance got it right with Dragon 4. I have used Dragon on my PC for more than 12 years and had been one of its greatest boosters. The initial release of Dragon 3 for Mountain Lion was quirky, but Nuance improved it with subsequent upgrades.
I have installed version 4 (4.0.2). 4.0.2 works great with the latest upgraded version of new Pages. I never tried Word on my Mac. I am a great fan of WordPerfect which I use on my PC.

Norton Internet Security 2007 has to be one of the worst products that I have ever purchased. It slowed my PC to an unacceptable level. When I disabled some of its unnecessary functions, it continued to slow my PC and gave me the bonus of irritating & uneccesary notifications/ warnings. I was a longtime, dedicated user of Norton, but that has changed. Try something else and avoid reduction of speed, adding an addtional bar to screen your screen, additional clutter and other deficiencies.
