I own Quicken Deluxe 2006. I used Quickbooks PRO in my office for 5 years and found that Quickbooks Pro was easy to use. Quicken Deluxe is a wreck. It is not at all intuitive. It can’t tell that there is a difference between when a check is written and when it clears. The numbers it downloads from brokerages etc don’t correlate with what one finds on the brokerage web site.

This product may be OK for virus and spyware prevention. As best as I can tell I haven’t had any viruses sneak through. When it comes to something that I can evaluate well i.e. its’ backup capability I can say that it is a complete failure. It is difficult to schedule a backup. You cannot backup to a drive on your home network. Online capability is way too slow and too small.

I went to Zone Alarm because I was unhappy with another product. That was a big mistake. I run VER 8 it has caused loss of internet connectivity. This is very similar to the problem that occured in July when they put out an update that conflicted with a MS XP update. I lost many hours on that fiasco. This tim it didn’t take me as long to try turning ZA off.

I have PDF Converter Professional 4.0 I doubt if 5.0 is any more functional or reliable than 4.0 Thus I would not recommend this program to anyone. Several features have never worked others work poorly. The interface is awkward. The support knowledge base is very limited. E mail tech support is $10. This is a lot to fix a problem that never should happen. I resent paying money for a program and then being asked to pay more money get the program to work.

Wow. A lot when into the making of this program. A lot of care and attention to detail went into every aspect of this great resource. Previous reviewers give a great overview of what this software is about so I’m not going to munch on the same cud. I can say they are spot-on. The perspective I can give is that I work with kids every day. This hits them right where they are at.

If you’re like us, you thought about getting something like this for a long time but since you’re in good health and all is well, you put it off. Approaching our 50’s and losing friends our age has made us think twice about our invincibility. This software is very easy to use and has had the added benefit of being a great conversation starter. Our brother, a lawyer, checked it all over and loved it, too.

You need to be very patient to use this buggy software. And to use the added features is going to cost you. It’s like buying a nice inkjet printer and finding out that ink costs more than the printer. All that I swear I’ve had more Mormons visiting my house since I started using this. Seriously. I stopped using it and went to something more reliable.

I am in the research sector, and we use Excel quite often for large volumes of data, so when this came out I was quite excited that I would finally be able to use my mac for doing some of my work…especially since there are extra cells in this version! Not the case. My files take forever to open (both large and small files). Typically the files take a good bit longer to open than the previous version (if they open at all that is)!

I gave this to my brother to try on his mac, and he loves it. It has all the Microsoft functionality that a student would need and/or want. Give it a try!
