There’s really not much to say about this newest version if you’re coming from version 17. It’s basically the same compression/decompression package but doesn’t support Windows XP. I don’t think there’s anything new added to this version over the previous version. It does the job and works well but one thing it still could not do is unzip more than one zip file at a time which Windows 8’s built-in unzip app could do.

This is a good entry level video editing package that is very easy to use even for a beginner. The user interface is very attractive and clean, not overwhelming or cluttered with a bunch of icons or buttons. It’s simplicity is similar to Apple’s iMovie yet there are so many different features included. There is a ton of 2D/3D effects and the BOX cloud integration is very welcome. For anyone who’s looking for a very good yet simple video editing package at a reasonable price that’s very easy to use, this is definitely a solid choice.

This is a very good video editing package. In the past I’ve only used Corel video editing products but Cyberlink’s offering is on par. It offers similar options but they are different enough for me to want to use both products depending on what I’m trying to achieve. There are quick uploading options that make it very easy to get video onto Youtube and other online video sites.

I’ve used previous versions of NERO for burning DVDs and Blu-rays and they’ve all worked great. This all in one suite adds a DVD/Blu-ray player as well as video editing. In the short time that I’ve used it, it worked well. So far I haven’t ran into any bugs or issues…will update review when I’ve had more time to explore more of its features.

Having worked with, and studied the Dramatica theory of story development, and also looked at and read a few of the examples it is based on, it seems to me that Dramatica 4 is a product somewhat ahead of itself.nBy this I mean, that to convey the principles of Dramatica the prior art examples are either too archetypical with no real requirement for the use of Dramatica by those who intend writing such archetypes, or are too flawed so that they do Dramatica no favours due to them being little more than the nearest point of common reference.

Windows XP Pro is a very good to use and stable operating system providing it’s installed onto a good quality machine. Less than a P4 2GHz and 512 MB of RAM isn’t going to really work out. Stick to Windows 2000 Pro, SP4 for anything less.nThe go back to a previous date feature is tremendously useful for when something goes wrong, but I could do without the snoop-doggy-dog in the file search section.

Word is one of those products which has become a victim of its own success, and automatic features that are more annoying than the conveniences they were intended to be. Another issue is the almost non-existent backwards compatibility with previous versions, meaning that only the simplest layouts are likely to successfully transfer across versions. And it doesn’t seem to matter whether you save as a rich text file (.rtf) or a previous version of Word.

Dramatica is a way to organise your thoughts about theme, plot-theme, and characters into a story form as opposed to something that isn’t.nUsing its own terminology allied to templates, the user is required to fill in a set of questionnaires, which act as the input from which their story is distilled. This can be amended at will if the user feels that they are being too boxed in.nThe end result is more easily managed than stacks of cards and papers.
