Out of the box - one disc - the manual is on the discnnI think it necessary to mention, that I currently had nero on my pc and figured I should remove it before installing roxio. Generally the two most common burning software’s are Nero and Roxio. However, it is not advisable to have both installed at one time as they will interfere with each other. It’s almost as bad as trying to have two antivirus programs installed and running in auto protect mode at the same time - it simply WILL NOT work out!

I have played with many photo editing software programs over the years. This one is fairly straight forward and fairly easy to use. I had to hunt and peck for awhile as I was new to it’s layout. But, overall after you see the breakdown, etc. it is not too hard to navigate. It does have some powerful abilities, but in my opinion not as powerful as photoshop. Although, it does allow layers to be built and merged which is similar to photoshop.

I’m sure this works very well. As I have a previous version already installed, I couldn’t get this version to install. Apparently you just need to up grade you current version, to get the latest version, rather than actually buying a completely new version. Avg has always done good for me. It appears to be one of the better anti virus programs, and I recommend it.

The sage 50 Accounting installation was straight forward on my windows xp Home pc. It asked to install or remove previous versions and had a choice of manually or automatically configuring for the firewall. It also asked if installation was for a single computer or network. Most normal installations would assume the defaults, which makes it easy to install for the average user. The entire install took approx. 20-25 minutes.nI received no errors, nor had any issues with the install.

Let me start by saying, I’ve used TurboTax for years. It has always made my doing my taxes for myself possible without paying an accountant or going to one of the name brand tax preparing offices.
They have made some changes this year and or cut backs depending on how you look at it. It appears almost anything you would need (forms) to deal with being a small business owner or being self employed is only available in this version, not a lesser version like deluxe, etc.

I honestly haven’t had time to try out all of the features of this program.
It appears to be very feature rich, and probably will do about anything you need it to do.
It’s compatible with Microsoft Office files, Word, Excel, PowerPoint including the latest versions.
It has built in PDF tools, which can be very useful.
You can create great looking documents in minutes with one of the free templates included.

Install is easy - it offers to download latest version. It checks your system for compatibility, then it downloads the app. Not the other way around. It is actually just an antivirus program, which is why I chose it. I didn’t want the entire internet security package, etc. Since I do a lot of things via an internal network, usually the internet security/antivirus packages create other issues while trying to share files, printers, etc.

Appears to do an adequate job. You may need to adjust some of the settings, so as not to slow down your internet sessions. This caught 2 old viruses lurking in an old email account, which avg, had never mentioned. I like that its good for 3 computers and is paid up for 2 years.

Installs easily and offers online update option before the install. It does offer a great deal of web protection as in it blocks malicious url’s, etc. Even does a scan of your facebook wall for those nasty third party softwares that can be dangerous to click on. It also seems to do a pretty good job on malware cleanup. Most antivirus programs do not focus very hard in this area. The main window has 4 big buttons.

As someone who has used Peachtree for my small business accounting needs for years I always felt that while Peachtree was a good program, it was far too comlicated and bloated for the average small business user. I wanted something that, quite frankly, made doing my books a snap – as easy as writing a letter – and I found it with Microsoft Accounting Professional 2008.
First off, let me state this – if you are an average user of the Microsoft Office suite of products then Accounting 2008 is going to be a snap for you to use.
