CD burning is becoming a way of life, much the same way that audio CDs did. In order to make the best use of your CD-RW drive, however, you must have good software that will transfer your files or music onto the CD. Easy CD Creator 5 will do that and much more. Using this software, you will be able to easily create music and data CDs, record music from non-digital sources (tapes, records, and even the radio), create labels, and backup your computer.

When protecting yourself on the internet, you don’t want to take any chances. Viruses and hackers roam the internet looking for unsuspecting and unprotected computers to exploit, usually for bad purposes. The sad truth is that most individuals are vulnerable.nInternet Security holds the keys and locks your computer from the outside world. It includes powerful cookie controls, and privacy controls. Did you know that websites sometimes request your private information and your browser often gives it to them?

I am a long time TurboTax user, and Premier this year shows progress from previous years in most areas. Importing W-2 and some investment data is a breeze, although several mutual fund entries had to be made manually. I found that switching between the interview and forms was less than optimum this year: the forms menu was touchy and hard to navigate accurately, and annoyingly, was not complete.
One huge oversight is that form 1040-V, which anyone who owes tax needs (although you can technically file without it), is apparently missing in action.

I have used several different spyware removal tools; before Spy Sweeper my favorite was Ad-Aware by Lavasoft. While I still use Ad-Aware, I depend on Spy Sweeper for the heavy duty work of removing spyware that is tough to ferret out. I generally run all the anti-virus and spyware detection tools installed on my computer (after updating the definitions, of course) and then run Spy Sweeper. I am always amazed at what Spy Sweeper finds left over after the others say my machine is clean.

I have been using TurboTax products (generally Deluxe, sometimes Premier) for over a decade and like many have been astounded by Intuits gross misjudgments of customer’s needs in an attempt to make customers jump to a higher priced version this year. This was so ill-received that I got an email from Intuit’s General manager Sasan Goodarzi telling me it’s all been a big mistake and that I can get $25 back because I bought Premier instead of Deluxe.

I purchased a Toshiba Laptop last December that came with a free Vista upgrade. When I got the upgrade, I installed it & then uninstalled it soon after. Mostly because I had no security programs available & I wasn’t going to purchase anything new for Vista when the word on it was so negative. Also, it was a pain to navigate & I just didn’t have the time to spend with it to learn how to use it.

In the past Ive used Norton, McAffee & Zone Alarm.nIve used Zone Alarms Firewall in combination with AVG’s Virus/Spyware.nIve been using AVG’s complete package, Firewall/Anti-virus/Spyware for several years & (for me) this is the best Internet Security product Ive used.
No security product is perfect but AVG has done the best job of protecting my PC from the outside world & I feel more secure using this product than any other.

Ive used Turbo Tax until last year. I thought for the price I would take a chance on Tax Cut. It was after all a substantial price difference.
Right away I though the learning curve for TaxCut was a little steeper & it seemed I had to actually do some thinking when it was asking me questions. (Oh Darn!) The phraseology was slightly confusing but not overwhelming.
However, I got through it, the return was correct & it wasn’t so difficult that I will go back to TT next year.
