I’ve been running Norton on my desktop for the past few years. I thought I would try this and see if I like it better. It does seem to use less resources and seems to pick up malware well. It doesn’t quite have the bells and whistles that I have with the Norton. I can’t get too technical on this review because I’m not a tech wiz, but it seems like McAfee runs smoother and doesn’t slow down my computer as much as Norton does when it’s running.

I really wanted this to be a great program. I have separate video, and music software as well as Photoshop, Corel, vector imaging software, etc, so basically, I have pretty much everything I need to do what this software does, but better. I was hoping that this software would make it easier having most of it all in one program. Unfortunately, this software didn’t deliver. I think the only imaging software that I don’t have, and would give my right arm for, is QuarkXpress.

I think the last time I had and used Corel Draw was back in the late 90’s. I actually took 3 semesters if college graphics arts courses using Photoshop so that is the program I am most familiar with so I never really got into the Corel graphics software. I think I had CorelDraw 7 way back then. It was before they started using suites. Anyway, though it was a good program then, I wasn’t as familiar with it so I always went back to the Photoshop and illustrator rather than try to learn more about CorelDraw.

Last years TurboTax was less than stellar and was missing many forms. A lot of reviewers were quick to let them know that they weren’t happy about it. I’m impressed that Intuit listened and brought the missing forms back in this years software and I’m happy to say it’s nice to have TurboTax back. Thank you Intuit.
This software is easy to use and a huge help at tax time. We’ve used it every year for our taxes and we are happy to say there is much less frustration this year due to Intuit listening to their customer base and making the much needed changes.

Honestly, this doesn’t do what I would want it to do. The part that’s good is the Children’s filter, but I have a router which does the same thing, so the software was a bit duplicative. Much of what’s provided is also provided by the mail/IM software.
What I would like to see something like this do is search for spyware as well as manage/delete cookies! Then it would be much more useful.

I was wary of trying this when I saw all of the bad reviews, but after buying and using it for 4 months, I don’t regret purchasing it. True, it seems a little disjointed, but once you remember that you use the program by using the top menu bar and do your navigation that way and through the little windows on the screen, one gets used to it. But remember, this software wasn’t written for Leopard.

Don’t buy this product if attempting to convert from MS Money. According to Quicken Support answer 5901, the company has not released a working converter that will convert MS Money files to Quicken 2008. The answers I get from Quicken vary, some indicate I should use an 8 year old manual conversion process - which doesn’t work well if you have investments. Others point me to a different answer which contains a process which doesn’t work either.

That’s right, the free bill pay offer via MSN is worth more than the price of the software alone. In 3 months, I have already paid for the price of the software, after rebate, since I cancelled my other Bill Pay. The integration is awesome, and even better since I use Money for the Pocket PC.

I’m a user of Photoshop for professional stuff and also a user of free or very cheap products for more basic edits. I have to say that this program is far closer to the free options than the expensive ones.
It has a ton of good stuff going for it:n+Nice auto tools, including autofix, and some correction tools.n+I like the toothbrush, thinify (changes aspect ration to make your target look thinner without changing the ratio of the pic), suntan, etcn+Lots of instant effects.

Look, I know this won’t be a very popular review due to the average rating so let me make this very clear: I love ancestry .com and am not saying this is bad software. I’m merely saying it’s an average deal. Here’s why: the software user interface and capabilities are pretty similar to what you get with the online subscription.
I started online only and didn’t have this software last year.
