I like Quicken products and this is no exception. In my case it has a lot of features that I didn’t need. This version provides a free ebook of Nolo’s Encyclopedia of Everyday Law and an one year subscription to its Online Living Trust which I was glad it did. I also signed up to be a complete organ donor, the brain has to be donated separately, and I hope using my body to practice on helps to save the life of some creature.

I have purchased Peachtree and Quickbooks Pro, but I must say this is the easiest of the 3 for a non-accounting/bookkeeper home based business owner to utilize. Besides the basic tasks of invoicing, expense tracking, budgeting, etc., it also the capability to set up an eBay account ($9.95/mo.), utilize PayPal, buying and selling in foreign currencies, and processing credit cards. Granted those are several features I will not be using, but one never knows when business will expand!

It amazes me of all the features it has at this price point. Now I just have to play around with it longer to learn all the neat tricks. I love face swap and touch up combined with the body shaper which makes all of us look like a model. My second favorite is combining photos to make a great panoramic view of some photos taken in France and Span. This program lets me become a better photographer than I really am which makes me feel happy as I can share photos that otherwise I might not due to an unsteady hand or poor lighting.

This is the third typing program I’ve used. The first was Mavis Teaches Typing 18 and a couple of years later I tried Typing Instructor Platinum. where you get to travel the world and select your own music choice, including silence. All three of these are highly rated and rightly so. Your favorite will really depend on your learning style. Both Mavis 18 and Typing Instructor have various games whereas this one is more practical and is the one I prefer.

I’m a long time fan of Norton even though Cox offers free McAfee. It doesn’t use as much space and customer service is very good except for the wait time. I feel safe with it due to all of the features provided. I like the key card as it is easier to retrieve on my desk for adding other devices.

Since I already have an older version Microsoft Office, I had Outlook but not with all the updated features this version has. Of course several I did not need, but may use in the future if I keep it installed. As others has noted, spell checker does not work if not using Word 2007, which I’m not. Also it does seem slower, but then maybe this 2004 computer is just tired and overloaded.
