I do like the product but the upgrade has been less than stellar. I already had Norton 360 on my account and supposedly the remaining 87 days would be added to the 365 of this license. Did not happen, just have the 365 days. My backup, which was working fine, no longer works. When I try to activate it, I get an error message than my account is not available.

Having used almost every edition of Office since the mid 90s, I’m usually pleased with the new features Microsoft adds in (sometimes buggy but the idea is good). I’m also an early adopter, I started on Office 2007 in November 2006 through my MSDN Subscription, so I’ve used that version for 3 years. What I was hoping for is exactly what I got: taking the totally new user interface of the 2007 Ribbon and making it more robust and the apps more solid.

Other reviews for WillMaker 2012 have gone into some seriously good detail. My situation is pretty standard (I need a will to protect my family/our stuff if something happens to me) and I’m going to assume that most of the people searching this software out are in the same situation, so here goes (my 2011 review is basically the same; this new version has a few new features such as PDF output, a new interface, and best of all, digital asset tracking.

This was our first experience with Rosetta Stone for any language, and we were excited to get right into it and see if it lived up to expectations. Installation and setup of the program took a little while but completed without a hitch, and everything functioned properly right off the bat.nThe immersive learning process is truly wonderful, and even our seven year old is able to participate and learn without having to worry about it being too complicated to use.

I’ve used WordPerfect Office for a few years now and have never had any huge issues. With X7, I haven’t had any issues at all. Works with MS Office, easy to use, intuitive, and has everything you need at the click of a button. Excellent! Highly recommended.

SendStuffNow works as advertised, for the most part. If you need to send large files that can’t be sent by normal means, it gets the job done, without any problems from my personal experience. Is it worth the enormous price tag? That depends on how often you need to send such files. In my case, I could never see myself paying over a hundred dollars for this service, as I’ve only used it 5 or 6 times in the several months that I’ve had it.

Family Tree Maker for Mac 2 is a great purchase for anybody looking to start tracing their family tree and genealogy. For the price of the program, you also get 6 months access to Ancestry.com, which almost covers the retail cost. If you can find this on sale, it makes it an even better deal.
Essentially, the real value comes from the Ancestry.com membership, and the ability to sync and download your findings with Family Tree Maker.

I have to hand it to Microsoft for Office 2008’s ease of installation. Usually, when I purchase any sort of Microsoft product, I’m stuck dealing with all sorts of ridiculous issues and errors before I even get to try it out. With Office 2008, everything installed without a hitch and I was able to start using it in no time. As far as functionality and features go, this one is hit or miss.

WordPerfect has a tradition of bringing consistent and reliable performance over the years, and taking improvements seriously as well. WordPerfect Office X6 Home & Student is no exception. The user interface is extremely intuitive so even if you have no previous experience with WordPerfect, you should be able to install it and start using it with a little trial and error. I’ve been using WordPerfect for the past few years and haven’t run into any serious issues.

Roxio Easy Media Creator Suite 10 claims it’s compatible with Windows XP, but you have to take that with a grain of salt. It took us longer than I even care to think about to get this loaded up and ready to go on our system. Once we had everything working, we were warped into a vortex of overwhelming options, half of which we couldn’t get to work and another quarter of which were complicated and not worth it, as we had no use for them anyway.
