XP is good, but can get better. It doesn’t crash, it just freezes and them comes up with a sign that says, let Microsoft know the problem and automatically sends a message to someone in cyberspace. Can you imagine millions of such messages a day hitting Renton, Washington? Forget it. They can do better and probably will.

We’re only a few days into this an we have picked up a few catch phrases already. It’s also neat because it has a level 1 companion app that you can take with you. It has 3 levels, from beginner to intermediate. It comes with 1 software DVD program and 1 interactive DVD. My favorite is the CD that contains 10 hours of audio listening, so I can drive while learning.

I used CorelDraw many years ago but I made a switch to Adobe starting with freehand and Illustrator. There was a little bit of a learning curve because I am use to Adobe. Thankfully there are video tutorials to help with the learning aspect.
CorelDraw Home and Student is almost as powerful as illustrator but at a much lower cost. You just have to invest the time to learn it.

I have been a windows user since the original 95 and have upgraded my machines according every time the new operating systems come along. Some have been great and some have been downright horrible (Window’s ME anyone?).
Vista lies somewhere in the middle. For those trying to convert from mac to PC it might be a good ideas, as it borrows heavily from the Macintosh OX model. But those of us used to generic windows will find that it takes a lot of time to get to know VISTA, and still things remain complicated.

I do not use this program often. I was hoping it would be highly competitive with Office 2007, but it seems lacking in some features and has locked up a number of times. I’m not a great MS Office 2007 fan, as I find it much slower and more cumbersome to use than the 2003 version, but Wordperfect Office did not provide a good alternative. Frankly, the very inexpensive or free Open Office program is about as good.

I found this adequate, but not extradoniory and did miss a virus on my computer which I think may be a database issue with bit defender.. I went with a different product, to be fair my version was outdated

It is a good software to replace Microsoft Office, but it does take a little getting used to.

To me, there isn’t a lot that can be done to improve upon this Office Suite. It has everything we need to do schoolwork with the kids at home. We use the Word and Excel mostly. The only other program that would be nice to have is Publisher, but we rarely have a need for that with the kids’ school work. A must-have for anyone with kids in school!
