I’ve used this product for a while now and I find myself frustrated by the simplest things at times. I’m not some Mac or CD/DVD burning no0b, yet I find myself stymied when I want to get things done a certain way.
While it’s pretty decent at DVD burning, other features are either too painful to use or too limiting/buggy and I find myself reverting to free tools like handbrake or Adapter and just burning using the tools built into the Mac.

I’ve used a variety anti-virus products over the years, from the whimsically permissive to something that feels like your computer is in a maximum security prison and this products strikes a nice balance of ease of use with good security.
Installation was easy and once the system was rebooted and fully updated, I tried a variety of tasks and didn’t notice much impact to system usability (disclaimer: I have a dual-quad core Mac Pro).

McAfee All Access is a great way to protect multiple systems that you own without having to spend a lot of money. For quite a while, AV makers were forcing you to pay for every PC you wished to protect. For some of us, that got pretty expensive, pretty fast and it was a pain to have to find an appropriate version for OS X that mirrored the capabilities of the Windows software.

It’s been quite a while since the last Microsoft Office release for Macintosh, but so far, I’m very impressed with Office 2016 for Mac. The user interface has been freshened to match the Windows version and still remains very easy to use for day-to-day work, while being very powerful under the hood. Mastering Office for either platform will take some work, but there are few programs out there that have the following or power of the Microsoft Office suite.

I installed it without a hitch to our newly bought refurb iMac Intel i5. Now I was able to install Autodesk MEP 2011 drafting software - it runs zippy! (with 12G of RAM)nnNote: System builder marries permanently the OS to the hardware. You can not transfer it to another PC if the PC dies.
Procedure:nnStart Boot Assistant. Fastest way to find it is to use Spotlight (the magnifying glass on top right) and type boot assistant.

Final Cut Express is your bridge to serious video editing. It has most of the features of the $1,000+ Final Cut Studio for a fraction of the price. It is a big jump for an iMovie user. Final Cut opens up a new world of expanse playground for creativity. It has a learning curve but very exciting and a joyful one.
A big difference between version 3.5 and 4 is the omission of Soundtrack (similar to Garageband but designed for videographers) audio software; but at the same time the price was slashed from $299 to $199.

It is weird, it is strange, it is a Fantastic game. I see this all the time in preview while browsing for new games on our Wii. Looks very promising to me, that is why when I saw it at Amazon Goldbox deal, I bought it right away. My 9-year-old son loves it. I do not like the typical shooting games, so this at least he thinks and hopefully learn some law of gravity and physics.

Setup: iMac 2011 with 12 gigs of RAM (8 gigs RAM is an upgrade), Windows 7 Home PremiumnnI bought Fusion as I was getting tired of rebooting from Mac to Windows and vice versa. I was also considering Parallels but Fusion was cheaper at the time I was shopping for a software. Both have high marks and good reviews so I figured any of the two will do.
It came in a box with a DVD and a USB dongle; I chose the DVD.

This is such a useful software. I used a freeware FastStone Capture, it does a lot of of image captures, editing and adding annotation text. It can do windows, scrolling windows, shapes, etc. Snagit is a much more advanced image and VIDEO capture app. No wonder I have been hearing about it for years on techpodcasts that I listen to. It can capture actual videos including the movement of your mouse cursor which is very useful if you are creating a tutorial/instructional videos.
