but….if I copy something off the interent and I want to paste it in Word or Excel, it won’t just post the text I need, but to it will try to paste a carbon copy of the webpage, which stalls the applications on my laptop. Otherwise, I haven’t had any issues with the software.

This is easily the best solution for non-professional video editing on a Mac. It’s much more flexible (and in my experience, much quicker to work with once you’ve gotten used to it) than iMovie, and not nearly as expensive as Final Cut Studio. In my opinion Apple has created a very nice balance between versatility and cost with this exceptional piece of software. I’m very happy with it and it has everything I need (at least for now).

There are two things I want most from security software on my PC: (1) it should work, keeping my computer safe and protected from a range of security threats, including viruses and other forms of attack; (2) it should be mostly unobtrusive, so that I don’t even really notice it’s there, and just do what I need to do with confidence. This one does the first thing pretty well, as far as I can tell.

First let me say that I live in Florida. Without the necessity of state filing, Turbo Tax Basic does the trick. Deluxe will probably be a better fit if you live in a state that does require filing. The hiccups experienced last year seem to be cleared up, and this appears to be the old reliable Turbo Tax that so many have come to rely upon. The process is about as intuitive as it gets, and the software fires right upafter updates, of course.

I have been using Maximum Security ‘12 for almost a year now, and I have to say that I prefer Trend Micro products. It is undeniable that Trend Micro catches some flak from industry critics, which concerned me at first. I utilized Trend Micro in ‘10, saw some of the reviews for the company, and subsequently tried a few of the critically acclaimed heavy hitters for my PC protection in 2011.

We have several computers in my house, and I was looking for an economical option. Considering the fact that I probably go through a primary PC for work about once every two years, the price point of the Key Card was very attractive to me. As far as the software itself, the tweaks took a little getting used to, as always; but, after using them for a while now, I definitely prefer the new Word and Excel to their predecessors.

Please note that I am by no means an authority on software of any variety. That being said, from the perspective of a layperson, this version of Trend Micro’s security software appears to be doing a sufficient job protecting me and my computer from our respective selves. The first point to mention is that setup is extremely user friendly, even with regard to some of the specific software settings. At this point I have probably meddled with the configurations as much as I ever will, as I have only utilized this product on my home PC.
