I had never used a Nero product prior to installing this one. Though there seems to be many more uses intended for this product than what I am currently using it for, I have - thus far - only used it for copying and burning music CDs. I had hoped to use it for more video editing, but that isn’t what this is really designed for. Sure, you can use it for burning video DVDs and for changing video formats, but as far as making your own movies and editing them?

I have been ordering and using this program for about ten years, now, and just can’t say enough good things about it. Every year it just gets better and better, covering all the bases and making completing and filing your tax returns for maximum returns a snap. If you haven’t yet tried it out, what are you waiting for? Start getting more of your money back, today!

I’ve been using Quicken for many years, probably at least ten, and have upgraded the product each year. This year is as good and solid as other versions. You can’t go wrong with Quicken. The install is easy and it reads older data with no problem. Much is similar to older versions, but the budgeting feature is much improved. It is easier to plan spending and to reconcile accounts with Quicken 2012.

One could argue that Microsoft should be ashamed to sell a product like this which is only designed to protect you from the very troublesome issues of viruses, spyware and internet attack brought on by flaws in the Microsoft operating systems.
Of course, they might argue that since they know their own flaws better, they can do a better job of protecting you. I can’t tell long-term how this product will hold up, but it did install on my XP machine with no problems (other than requiring me to uninstall Adaware).

While I usually upgrade my Quicken every year, I felt this year I actually got something for my money. The budgeting and planning section seems dramatically improved and it can now sync with my iPhone with an app that keeps me informed of my balances. I really think this version bears looking at if you are a current user of Quicken, and if not - where have you been. It really helps you know where your money is and where it’s going!

I used this to upgrade from an earlier version of this software and find it helpful to get my thoughts together before going to see my lawyer. Because of issues like step-kids, which weren’t really explained very well, I can’t say this is perfect, but it does help do simple things like living wills, etc.

Just a quick note to let you know that you will need to upgrade to the Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 PREFERRED version if you plan on using a digital voice recorder with this. Amazon didn’t have the chart down below the description when I ordered the Standard Version last week, so as not to cause you any grief if you plan on using a voice recorder, I thought I’d write this short review.

I have always been a big fan of WordPerfect. Huge fan! It is so much nicer than Word…mostly because it does what ~I~ want it to do, not some automatic formatting crap that is a pain to work around. This is almost like having a typewriter…2 spaces STAY as two spaces…2 returns don’t automatically number, etc. BUT! you have the option of many more things, manual word and letter spacing, rotating text in certain parts of the page or table if you want, etc.

Photo Director 4 is a good product for people starting to use photo editing software. It’s easy to use. Handling multiple photos and organizing them is easy. Plus, there are many special effects that make photo editing fun.
However, the program is not much better than many others on the market for less money. The program handles only JPEG, TIFF and RAW formats. While these are the ones most frequently used by amateur photographers, it isn’t satisfactory for a professional, or semi-professional who also uses GIF and BMP.

I have used Photo Director Five for a year. It is adequate photo editing software with some nice features. Photo Director Six, however, is more sophisticated and gives new ways to enhance and manage your photos. The user interface hasn’t changed much. If you’re familiar with Photo Director Five it’s basically the same: a large window for your photo, editing tools run down the left side, and thumbnails of your photos for editing across the bottom.
