I upgraded from Windows Vista Ultimate, which was running fine on my machine. I had everything configured to wirelessly stream my media center information throughout my house, had my satellite hooked up to my computer so I could record and watch television. None of my settings have carried over. I am not a novice… I have been working in the computer industry for 20 years. It has taken me two days of trying to reconfigure my machine and none of my media sharing and television are working.

I must admit that I love Microsoft Streets and Trip and I am generally a Mac user, but I haven’t found anything on the Mac side as well as I like this software. So, I continue to use it on my single PC I have. With that said, I have the previous version of this software and to be honest with you, I can’t figure out why there was a real upgrade.

I have been using this product for about a month now. I first need to preface this with the fact that I am a photographer with some video editing experience. I am used to using Adobe Premier for most of my video editing. However, I felt this program was very simple and easy to use right out the door. The two videos I imported off of my camera worked great and sound came through just fine which has been an issue with some of the other programs I have tried.

I have purchased Kaspersky products for several years now. Installation and setup was very easy. It did have to update the databases after installation, but that all went smoothly. It doesn’t seem to run any conflicts with other software or hardware on my machine (and I have a lot). I have only had this on my computer for a short while, so I can’t say how well it finds things long term.

I have really enjoyed this program. I am a professional photographer that is used to doing all photo painting like this manually in Photoshop. So, I wondered if would even like this. I definitely like it! It is really an easy program to use and offers many brushes. I have been using it on a Wacom Cintique 21ux and it is fantastic. There were a lot of great effects that were easy to apply.

I wanted to use this for a bit of time before giving my review. First, let me say I have Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas on my computer as well. It’s kind of a toss up between this product and Sony Vegas. This product handles my quick short projects pretty well. When I get to the larger video files, sometimes it seems to choke a bit. Also, it handles 3D better than my Sony Vegas product.

I have done everything I can think of to like this program and it seems everything I try is just not working. First, let me say I am not new to video editing. Most of the time I use Adobe Premier Pro and sometimes Sony Vegas. No matter what I tried in this version, it just didn’t seem to work. I tried to get film off of two different video cameras, one a Sony and one a Canon.

It’s a great security package, with some minor user’s complaints. The firewall training period is troublesome/bothersome as is the error message for programs that have been updated like IE. It is all ways asking for permission for programs to either modify the registry or access the network at first. It would be better if the program came with several defaults for the popular applications, like Google install. However, you can set the permission in the firewall so it does not ask the next time around or you can set it when the message appears.

It really does simply taxes. The explanations and interface are very helpful. There are places for improvement but it gets the job done with very little issues.

I picked this up for my anti-virus solution for my computers. It does do a good job but the warning pop up and be a bother.
