I have used quicken for many years to track income and expenses.
unlike its bigger brother, quick books, this is ideal for home use (unless you NEED a 16 column ledger?)nnsince most of the bills are paid electronically, this is perfect, as you can download from the bank or credit union, and upload into quicken.
saves all that pesky typing!

I got this OS for a new computer that I put together, works great.
I just put the system together, installed my old os, got the system working, then installed this new os.
up and running!

That’s right buffalo bob, its tax time.
for those of you that remember Howdy Doody, you know that taxes can be a three ring circus.
Turbo tax helps to do a quick and speedy filing.
don’t be like Clarabell the clown and mess it up.
after all, the IRS doesn’t seem to have a sense of humor. (insert government/puppet joke of your choosing)nnhappy filing!

this is the smaller version of quicken for home use.
I have used the other full version, and this one is perfect for home use.
since I don’t keep a checkbook register (and don’t write paperchecks) I download the info from my credit union and upload to Quicken. takes a few minutes a week and the checking account is balanced!nnYou can flag tax deductable items, and during the wonderful tax season, use that to double check your deductions, etc.

Having used Peter Nortons products since their inception, I have come to rely on his security software as part of my standard security set up.
The other software tools they have are also very handy if you have a need.
The multi packs are great, as I have a number of computers at home that I have to maintain.
getting the 1 user 3 PC is a inexpensive way of protecting my home network of masheens!

Best in the business, forget the other guys. I’d rather have a tax expert than a software expert designing my tax software and who knows taxes better than H&R Block?

Microsoft Office is still the standard all the rest are compared to. Office 365 is a great value when you consider the licensing options for standalone packages. You might be tempted to use a free online office solution, but you’ll be disappointed. The cost and licensing options for this software are a bargain compared to the cost of owning the package on the same machines, and keeping them upgraded.

I’ve been using H&R Block since they first started producing software to file from home and I still swear by it. It’s not only much easier than the rest, but one year it calculated a larger credit for me than a certain other popular program did. Turns out the H&R Block calculation was the correct calculation, and I’ve been sold on it ever since.

Norton is still the best. I like that they eliminated all the confusion for picking different versions. I bought Norton Security without online backup and I’m covered on my desktop, laptop, android tablet, and android phone. I was able to log in on each device I wanted to install the software to and the installation was a snap.

Adobe is VERY PROUD of their wok and doing all they can to become a monthly budget item for all of us. They make great stuff, I don’t argue that, and Photoshop Elements 13 is a good example, but if the next version is even $1 more, I’ll buy another product the next time I need to upgrade. And I’ll never have a monthly budget item for photo editing.
