5 years ago or so, Norton was the slowest thing around. Then the completely redid the program and turned it into one of the easiest and quickest of the antivirus program. And it’s continued since then as a great Antivirus. Maximum PC gave the 2013 Internet security version the only perfect 10 score of what they reviewed in the April 2013 issue.
And the 2014 continues being one of the best.

I’m a computer tech and I use a lot of antivirus programs every year so that I can be well informed. People ask me all the time what they should use, and I want to be able to really give them an answer. While this wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great either. It did catch spyware on a computer that had had antivirus protection beforehand! The main issue is how slow the software is.

Kaspersky isn’t my favorite antivirus. I find that it’s scans are slow and that the interface isn’t as user friendly as it could be. But the parental controls/filtering software bundled with other antivirus programs is lacking.
So I still find it slow and not the easiest to configure/use, but I have installed Kaspersky pure where people need both an antivirus and filtering software. Having separate filtering software seems to slow the computer more and can be a risk if your antivirus messes up your filtering software.

I don’t think most need android security software. Those who just download a few games from the official play store here and there don’t have much chance of running into a virus (in the US at least). I’m a computer tech and have seen phones that were dying. I’ve seen phones with misbehaving apps causing trouble. I’ve seen android or ios corrupted. I’ve seen dying SD cards and most every other problem you see with phones.

I’ve never made a family tree before and I’ve never used family tree software before. I’m definately not going to be the person who updates my software every year (or perhaps ever). I thought it would be fun to make a family tree and talk to my family so I knew a little more about those related to me.
But there’s one twist that is probably weird. My natural father died and I’ve been adopted by my step father.

I have used Quicken over the years until it got to be a chore and got away from it (also because I had switched to a Mac and the Mac version wasn’t up to the PC version). When I saw that Quicken Essentials for Mac was launching I was intrigued. Reading many of the reviews I hesitated in getting it but decided to do so in light of their guarantee. I kept the receipt handy because I anticipated returning it for a refund, but have now concluded I will keep it and use it daily.

This is a fairly robust program and does a great job. However, it is time-consuming. Not a surprise, but wanted to get that out there.
These programs are great and the things you can do with the info is so helpful, but it does take time.
I have no complaints with this product. If you want a program to keep track of your family genealogy and be able to do all kinds of nice charts, info, etc.

Jaguar took OS X to the next level. Sure it was a familiar level, but it was a more stable operating environment, and provided several needed enhancements. Now, Panther takes a giant step forward in the evolution of the Mac platform.nAn all new, easier to use finder. Upgrades to several of the popular iApps which Apple has been nurturing. Plus, iChatAV instant messaging software which will work seemlessly with the iSight camera.

Last year, TaxCut left Mac users out in the cold when they stopped making a version for that platform. TaxCut customer service is pathetic as well. At the same time, Turbo Tax had solved a few problems that they’d been having for a couple of years. When I switched back, the only problem I ran into was not being able import the previous year’s TaxCut info into TurboTax.
The interface for the program is good.
