CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 has everything that most people will need to work with photos and graphics. Unless you are a professional graphic designer who is required to work with Adobe file formats, this may be your better choice because overall, it is easier to use than the corresponding Adobe software. For intermediate users, such as someone who creates presentations or brochures as part of their job in an organization, this software is ideal.

Dragon Dictate has been a somewhat frustrating experience. This software came on a disc with no key to download, even though new Apple computers haven’t had optical drives for some time now. The software should be sold on a flash drive rather than on a disc and with a download included. Installation was no problem after getting a disc drive. Training was not a problem. However, there is a bit of a learning curve with the commands and when using the software, it is necessary to actively give dictation, rather than to just speak.

I haven’t used QuickBooks for Mac in several years so I was eager to see what improvements have been made. QuickBooks has the small business accounting software market almost to itself, although mostly on Windows. Apple’s market share in computing significantly increased during my hiatus and there has been a shift towards the internet, mobile devices and, more recently, the cloud. Whether QuickBooks will fully embrace these changes has yet to be seen.

Corel AfterShot Pro is primarily designed for professional photographers who need to catalogue, manage, process, refine, and export large batches of RAW files, which contain all available technical information about an image. It will also work with many other image file formats. AfterShot Pro was easy to install on Mac and it also works on Windows and Linux. However, the user interface and advanced capabilities are not intended for occasional, amateur photographers.

I really like this anti-virus software. It took about 10 minutes to install and an extra 2 to update. Seriously, this software is very easy to use and install. After installation, this software was ready to use and the interface is easy to navigate. It reads files FAST. The only slow up is when you activate the parental controls (a handy feature to have for a family) so if you don’t need it, I suggest skipping it.

(3.5 STARS) I got this software for basic book keeping and it does that and a whole lot more. This version includes the most options and allows for three users which was a primary concern for me. Let me start by admitting that I do not have a background in accounting so the software was not as intuitive as I would have liked and I’m not using it for a small company but for a 40+ committee.

I’ve been using this software for over a month now and still impressed on all it provides for an everyday user. It easy to understand how the features work and plenty are offered - many filters to provide flattering or artistic results, corrections for bad photos (red eye, etc.), and online posting options, collage or film choices, and many others that give an uncrafty person (me) options that make me look like I take much better photos that I do.

After using Siri all day on my phone, I wanted the convenience of voice activation on my pc. I tried Dragon over 10 years ago when it first came out and was less than impressed. I’m loving this latest version! It was easy to set up - it takes minutes to walk through the steps and you’re ready to go! You need to speak clearly when using and it has trouble recognizing unique words.

I had purchased a new HP computer that had Winbdows 7 and although the pc had issues and was returned, I did like Windows 7 while I had it. I had issues with several new pcs so I thought I would purchase the Windows 7 upgrade for my old pc. So far I am happy and feel it has more pluses then minuses. There are several reviews written by more tech savy reviewers so I will concentrate on my view of the good and bad points:nnGOOD POINTSnn1.

If in this life we find only death and taxes, one had better get TurboTax. As a software program which has been around for a number of years, it is the best. From the most elementary version such as this one to the most complicated do- it- all program, Turbo Tax simply cannot be beat for this unpleasant yearly task. It walks you through each step, answers every question and provides an accurate tax preparation .
