It’s hard to find a cheap copy of OS 10.4 on Amazon (or anywhere for that matter) and I don’t know why this is so. So I found a cheap copy of OS 10.3 to put on my 14 y/o iMac G3 and the installation took about 45 minutes, but it went smoothly.

I found Quicken 2009 Deluxe Edition to be nothing but frustration. I’ve had lots of problems hooking up Quicken to multiple banks. It will work one day and then stop working for a month. I’ve found it nearly impossible to reconcile financial accounts with Quicken balances. The Quicken user interface is klutzy. You have to bang on a field few times to get it to open. The user interface is inconsistent across the program.

It gets the job done. Functionality is basic, but you can read the book, and find stuff.

I installed this on an older computer, Latitude C610 laptop, so if you have a newer, faster computer this may not apply to your situation so maybe go on to other reviews. The hardware requirement is only 800 MHz processor and 256 MB RAM and the laptop has 512MB but I don’t think it is enough because this program has definitely affected performance. The computer is clean; I formatted the drive and have not installed any software as yet, I wanted to get the security set up first.

Extremely easy installation and setup which took about 12 minutes. I did not have any of the issues others have complained about and I have Windows7. I have spent hours on this program trying out the different functions and all but one (video) are very easy to figure out, the data/copy, music/audio, photo, and copy/convert. On the Burn Data Disc function I like that you can easily remove single or multiple files from the burn window and also rename if desired.

I had used Norton Internet Security for many years and decided to try the 360 last year which was okay but expensive. I didn’t want to spend as much again this year and was happy to find this 5-device Security Deluxe on Amazon for twenty bucks, and since it is pretty much the same as the Internet Security I used to use I jumped on it. I love it for our computers but was disappointed to discover that it does not provide the same for your cell phone and/or tablets so keep that in mind.

I thought it would be hard to improve upon the 2015 version of Painter but there are tons of additions/improvements, including the ability to import Adobe Photoshop .abr brush files, retaining such things as dab shape, texture, dynamics, but note that other attributes which are not supported will require some customization of brushes after import…at least an encouraging improvement that will probably be tweaked and further improved in future versions. Most important to me is improved performance and stability with brushes up to three times faster, not to mention tons of new brushes.
