Every year Intuit makes me more angry. Every upgrade Intuit makes me more angry. This takes the cake: Quicken 2012 actually has popup ads that must be clicked to close so I can continue! This is unacceptable for financial software I paid for.
I put up with the crap Intuit always installs on my desktop. But this is too far.

I have been a Quicken user for 13 years. I upgraded to 2007 and it lost some of my data during the conversion. After several hours with support (live chat) they never found a solution.
Then they say to call them and Intuit wants to charge me twenty four dollars to get assistance for their bug. Sorry Intuit, you have gotten too big and have forgotten the customers who made you.

So far so good. I have been a TurboTax customer about 20 years I think. Intuit finally pushed me too far and I tried H&R Block this time. I have to say it was easier to use and seems to work well. There was a hiccup with my State filing but nothing I could not handle. It is nice to find a product that does not treat me like nothing but an upsell target like Intuit does.

I have five computers with Windows 7. Tried Windows 10 on three of my PCs. Total disappointment! Windows 10 was a step backward in every way, except it can use a touch screen! (I won’t even get into all the customer control features that it forces or tries to force on us.) All my PC’s are back happily running Windows 7.

Windows 8 is the worst mistake in Microsoft’s history. How sad. After four frustrating days of trying to find something in Windows 8 to make up for the total loss of direction in the Windows’ interface I went back to the Windows Store and got my money back. Maybe Windows 9 will be led by some new management with more vision.

I generally like Windows 10 but I have to deduct 2 stars for the super-annoying and productivity-zapping forced restarts which cause me to lose data and waste my time trying to recover. Ridiculous.
