Yes, I downloaded Windows 10. I have multiple laptops some with Windows 7 and some with Windows 8 so I can compare.nWindows 7 has everything I need on front page with easy access plus help etc. Conflicts between software, viruses, attacks are common these days so I have to deal with it but its all reasonable in Windows 7. Ok, now Windows 8…booms–tiles–zillions of them and everyone is trying to sell you something like I am drug addict.

I hate it, yes, I hate it. Yes its not software but Microsoft store on line right in my face when you start computer. Yes, I immediately deleted most of the icons. Yes, I hated when Microsoft forced me to open their account like they pay my salary. Yes, the only positive about this is cheaper price for computer. And sure you cannot install Windows 7 without crashing everything.

World number 1? That’s an understatement. Maybe if your world limited to your balcony its ok but in my world its a scam.nIt came preinstalled on my computer and when I try to use it it miserably fail. So I installed my favored number 100 DVDFab–free for lifetime, does open any disk, gives you options like watch in pre-screen, subtitles, any region, etc.

We are planning on building a home in a few years, and I’ve had a lot of fun playing around with this software. I’m actually surprised at how quickly it is to pick it up and start putting a decent-looking house together. There are tons of options for windows, doors, cabinets, colors, etc., so you really can get a fairly good of how your project will look.
My chief complaint is that it doesn’t come with a manual; it has a computer-based help index and a series of videos that you can watch online.

I feel like a dunce writing this review, but frankly, I just can’t figure this software out. I think I’m a reasonably intelligent and tech-savvy person, but I just don’t find VideoStudio -at all- intuitive.
In all fairness, I have zero experience with video-editing software, and I haven’t sat down and thumbed through the manual at length. I was looking for something that would help me quickly edit videos of my kids – nothing fancy – and jumped at the chance to review this software, since so many people seem to love it.

I already have the Spanish version of Rosetta Stone, but we are planning a trip to Italy (hopefully) this fall, so I jumped on a recent offer to try out the Italian version, too. (Please see my review of the Spanish version, as well.)nnI find the software incredibly intuitive to learn and use, and while there’s a LOT of review, it definitely drums things into your head. I also like the diversity used in the photos – OK, sometimes it’s a little surprising to have a picture of a man who’s clearly Central Asian when you’re in the middle of your Italian lesson, but people from all ethnicities speak all different languages in this jet-setting world, so I guess it really shouldn’t seem all that unusual!

This installed easily (though rather slowly). However, after importing my ING/Capital One 360 accounts, I immediately noticed there was a problem – every single balance was at zero! The only account that did import properly was from my credit union. Mint is free and far more accurate, in my opinion.

I’ve used several versions of Family Tree Maker in the past and have always thought it was an easy-to-use software. This version is no exception, and the integration with Ancestry.com (and the three free months) is nice. I’m running it on a 64-bit Windows 7 machine with no problems whatsoever.

I’m not sure what the difference is between this version of Family Tree Maker and the last one, but it’s completely imperceptible to me. It IS great software – and the integration with Ancestry.com is spectacular – but if you have a recent version, there’s no reason to upgrade. If you’re using something else or have a much older version, definitely give it a try.
